"Look Changes"~~~City~~~Repairs~~~Etc.

(Urns, in the Park...)

As you can see, I did "Blog Look Work"!  :-)  I didn't intend to do all this.  But I messed up, some how...  And had to "fix" many things...

(Interesting tree roots, in the Park...)

So I figured, as long as I got started, I might as well continue.

(Ballet Slipper, in front of Drink Hall)

This summer, our city has quite a few of these Ballet Slipper sculptures, here and there...  This one, is on the lawn, in front of the old Drink Hall.  (The drinking referred to, is that of various Mineral Waters, of the area.)  :-)

(Closer look at Ballet Slipper, in front of Drink Hall)

And here is a cropped look, at it.  Needless to say, you'll be seeing more pics of these...  :-)

In summer, we have wildly painted Horse sculptures, here and there.  And this year, the addition of the Ballet Slipper sculptures.

This year is the Celebration of 150 Years of Thoroughbred Racing, in this city.  Lots of special events are planned.

We've been unable to get a local channel, on our tv.  So we called, and they tried to fix it, by whatever "magic" they use.  This time, it didn't work.  So they sent a repair man over, this morning.

Not only do we have our local channel back....  He fixed old cable, inside and outside.  He showed us the way squirrels had chewed on the outside cable.  Yikes!  And this messes with reception.

And really, we could see clearer colors on the TV!   We have the phone, tv and Internet connection Package.  He said my computer, may work faster also.

Did anyone ever think to request that their outside cable connection wires be checked, for stuff like squirrels chewing on them?

Twin Houses~~~Yard Work~~~Fun link~~~"What I meant..."~~~Etc.

(A mirror-twin house...)

Yesterday {click-->} I blogged, that I wanted to do some yard-clean-up.  And I did!!!  The out-the-patio-doors view looks better, and it was good exercise.

(Separate Twin houses...)

Lovely weather continues here, so far.  And "Uncle A's" little seeds are sprouting and growning.  They are growing enough, that he has to turn them.  Since they grow RIGHT AT the sun.  :-)

"In my neck of the woods," we can't be sure of no random frosts, until Memorial Day Weekend, though.  So planting is late, compared to other bloggers.

(Built in 1900, by a father, for his 2 daughters)

If you like Cozy Mysteries, like I do, here is a cute list posted on "The Cozy Mystery List Blog"...   Please click here, to be taken to her list... "Upcoming Television Mystery Movies for May 2013" on Turner Classic Movies Ch..  :-)

(When they were built, they were probably decorated alike.  For a while, anyway.  To show-them-off.  -smile-  )

When I wrote of Catherine Herridge's book {click-->} "The Next Wave," I didn't mean that would-be-terrorists need her book, to learn anything.  They have all that information, on the Net.  I meant that WE need her information.  So we remember to be on the look-out for things like, abandoned back packs, in public places, etc.  And report them, to authorities.

Some moving gifs, I hope, I hope!!! :-)))

A week ago today/Mon., Gabe left "his little cold", with me.  I knew this, because 3 days later, on Thursday evening, I felt a sore throat.  (In my experience, a cold take 3 days to "incubate")  And a cold takes 7 days, to come, go, be gone.  Well 7 days won't be till this Thurs. evening.

And Gabe is coming, again today.  ,-)  Hope he doesn't have any "little thing," to leave with Nana, this week!!!!  :-)))

I'm enjoying all the dragon pictures, from "Game Of Thrones"...  But of course!!!  ,-)

Addition:  If the pic doesn't MOVE right away, you may have to click on it......

Please click here........

And

Please click here...............

And

Please do click here........

:-)))))))))))

We don't get HBO.  So I won't be watching any.  Good thing, since it looks a wee bit gory...  Mmm, a LOT gory!

We just think, this is funny...........................    -grinnnnn-

Betcha' everyone knows what they are doing on Easter...  We, being unique (LOL), do not.

I surely hope my moving gifs, up above, worked.   Booo-hissssss, if they did not.  Needless to say, I have no idea how to properly imbed a moving gif.

Our snow is melting, but there still isn't much to photograph, outside.  So, I am stuck with uninspired indoor photos.  Sorrrrrrrry...  -grin-

WAVING at Lynn! And more about...

WAVING  AT  LYNN OF "LYNN'S BOOK BLOG"...

Some sort of blogging issue has come up, and I can not Comment in your blog.  Boo-hoo...  I thought I had your email addy, but I don't seem to have it.  -pout-  Could you please contact me at    followbliss2000   at   yahoo   dot    com   ?  Please and thank you!

Btw, your latest book review sounds sooooo interesting!

I made yet another Background here...  Both the last one, and this one, are small flowered wallpaper.  The previous one, was just a little TOOOOOO SMALL a print, to work as a blog Background.  Well, as this blog Background, any way.  This wallpaper print shows up as a little larger.  I like the balance better.  And I'm not the only one, because a Dear Reader commented that she liked the bigger one, best, too.

I'm composing this entry at about 5:00PM on Tuesday.  So the 2nd part of "NCIS," will be on tv tonight.  Last week's show was a very intense program, to say the least.  This week's will certainly be the same.  Giving the wonderful actors (on this show) another chance to show their acting ability...

Even though I know it will be intense, I'm looking forward to it.  I know there are other "NCIS" fans, among my Dear Readers.  Hope you enjoy this 2nd part, too.

plain and shy-looking but full of romance..."
~~Marcel Proust

Btw, these pictures are of early morning, out my Den windows, looking down the street...

And of just an interesting looking light-shadow, on a kitchen wall.

Kinda' slim pickin's, in the photography dept.  ,-)  It was a busy day and I didn't get any other pics taken.

One project today, was a regular check-up at our doctor's.  Which was rather incongruous.  Because...  Here we were, basically healthy.  Having been making a habit of avoiding crowded places, where one is more likely to be exposed to Flu Bugs.  And yet, going to a doctor's waiting room/office.  :-(

Happily, we didn't seem to be exposed to obviously sick people!  Imagine that?!?  No *scary-song* of coughs, sneezes, etc.!!!   Wheeewwww....   Not that one ever knows, for sure.  But it was not as scary an outing, as I had anticipated.    Could it be, that all the sick people, were at home?!?

I hear you, Dear Reader!  I hear you saying that you are getting sick of this topic.  YES!  I am getting tired of this topic, too!!!!!!!!

BOOK! Blogging. TV. Etc.

Super!  Fantastic!  Riveting!  A must-read!  Hurry!  Find it!  Read it!

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not in the least, a pretty photo...  But...  That's what our snow has become, by now.  Get warmer temps and rain, and your pretty snow becomes reduced to dirty snow.  With some chunks of ice, beside it.  -sigh-

But the fog was interesting!!!  While it lasted.  It seems to have moved on now.   Perhaps to wrap some else's world, in pale gray cotton gauze.

Ya' know how we see Before-and-After shots???   How we sometimes try, to take them, ourselves?  Would you like a quick lesson, in showing a purrrfect Before/After Post?  Please just toddle over and see Cherry's "Before And After Post."   It's a real and complete "BandA"  if I ever saw one.  :-)

And PLEASE, tell her that "Auntie" sent you.  Thank you!!!  :-)

Yes, my Dears, I did take a lot, lot, lot of pics, of Gabe in the plaid shirt.  And yes, my Dears, I am using them a lot.  Just bear with me, please.  ,-)

No I didn't watch the Golden Globes.  I just look at the Red Carpet pic, the next morning.  Some gowns I like, and some I don't, and my choices don't necessarily mesh with the self-stated-Fashion-Police.

I love Lucy Liu in this warmly pretty gown.  Oh sure, the Fashion-Police probably called it a "Prom Dress," with no place on a Red Carpet.  But I don't care.  To me, she looked very pretty.

Seeeeeeeeeeeeeeee, I told you.  The damn Fashion-Police said she is one of the worst dressed at the Golden Globes.    And GUESS what I say, to them?!?!?!?!

Anyone watch "The Carrie Diaries" last night?  On CW.  Prequel to "SatC"...  Probably not.  I realize that I'm a wee-bit-of-a-nut, for watching shows like "Pretty Little Liars" and "Vampire Diaries," and etc.  -chuckle-    Oh well, what ever floats your boat.  ,-)))

A bit of snow, and lots of decorations... :-) ADDITION...

"The snow that began in the evening, and steadily a little bit all the night, was......."  Just a dusting, in the morning.  But it has stuck, so far.  Sun will melt it.  Kind of too bad, because our annual Victorian Street Walk is held tonight, down street.  A little bit of snow, would add to the Old Fashioned Victorian Ambiance.
As you can see, we got some more decorations up.   But with taking down things, which had been out, all during the past Season, and taking packed-away-things out...  Quite a bit of dust was stirred up.  Not enough to bother most people.  But enough to get-me-going again.   Bleahhhhh...   I should have remembered to put on my *trusty* face mask.  Should have...   ~~~~~~  So it's back to taking all the meds and inhaler thing and etc.   I never want to let bronchial troubles, get a hold!!!!
Well, we ended up not having many tv scheduling conflicts last evening, after all.  :-)  He did get to see some of his first Brit car show.  But then, daughter and son-in-law came over to do needed things, in his work shop...  Wood-things....  And he was out there, helping them.  So, after all his time, getting the old front tv to work,  we didn't have to use it.   ~~~~~~~~~   But!  It is usable again!  As it should be.  Since we are still paying for cable, for it.
Today/Thurs. we have projects on our list.  Hope we get them crossed off our list!  Some things, just can't wait any longer.  Like covering the old truck, which is *wintering* beside the house, between the house and the row of pine trees.  It's all set, with a permanent pad to sit on.  But needs its cover.  And that is a 2 man job.  A man and a woman job.  :-)
And I am out of Jordan Almonds!  Which is a *disaster*!  I can have a couple of them, after eating, and it makes me satisfied.  That funny urge a lot of humans get, to finish off a meal, with *Something Sweet.*
One of the fun (but silly) things about getting decorations out, is finding random sparkles, here and there.  There is one on the Hearth Room rug, which probably came from the sparkly Autumn wreath which we took down.  Because of its (the sparkle's) Autumn color.  There are some on the floor in the bathroom, which catch the light, when you're looking at them, just right.   Just kind of like diamonds.
Yes, silly!  But one can never have too many sources of sparkle!  "Auntie" sezzzzzz...   :-)
Above is the only way I have managed to use Faerie Lights in a container...  This time, with Christmas balls.   Some people make sweet ambiance lights, by stuffing Faerie Lights down into an old wine bottle.  But I never made that work.
But love the effect of what I did, above.  And I simply put bowl and lights into a bag and it's all ready to go again, the next Christmas.  Which is  a good thing,  because it's not easy (for me anyway) to get the lights/balls randomly stuffed in the bowl.  ,-))))

And it blossoms once a year.
'Tis loaded with fruit from top to root,
And it brings to all good cheer."

~Luella Wilson Smith

ADDITION:

How can we just keep *Jingling Our Bells*???

Just read some "politics," and it took the *wind* out of my Holiday sails.  :-(   And of course, this is what "they" bank on...  That holidays are the time to push through, whatever "they" want.  Because people are so tired of paying attention to What's Really Going On in Our Beloved Country.

So "they"...

Keep on campaigning.

Keep on blaming *the others.*

Know the Country is tired, tired, tired of all of it.
