New summer blouses... Just some of the loads of laundry I've been doing over the last couple of days. Yikes! Washing-drying-washing-drying-washing-drying... Oh yes, and folding (worst part!) There are only 2 adults in this household. How can I manage to get behind, with laundry?!? Amazing, but I did!
.
Cool thing is, I washed these blouses in cold water and only fluffed them dry for a bit. Took them out and hung them up and they dried, with no need for ironing. Hooooray!!! :-)
.
Yes, my *hanging* is done, in doorways. Not very jolly looking but...It does the job and it's pretty quickly done.

With my new iMac and mouse, I didn't think I needed a mouse pad anymore. My old one was really oldddddd, and got thrown out. Then I discovered that a mouse pad would still be best. So I found this pretty, old fashioned looking one. (At Victorian Trading Co., and not awfully expensive, either) Oh don't you wish you could write like some of the lovely script, on this mouse pad? -sigh-

"Ladybug From Texas" told us how she made some natural bug spray. Being in TX, she already has mosquitoes. We don't yet here. (And won't have any for a bit, still... Because we are expecting snow for Sat. night and Sunday) But soon enough, we will have those nasty little flying biting insects. And how mosquitoes love me. And how I hate Deet. Fingers crossed that this will work.
.
I gave the recipe to the *Resident Pharmacist* and he brought those items home from the drug store, when he went to work. We already have vinegar.
.
Have you Dear Reader, ever made your own mosquito repellant? Did it work?

A picture of the menu from The Chocolate Factory, where we ate the other day. And where I had the delicious Gluten Free Pizza. :-) Yes, I have more pics. Another day...

One more. I took a photo of an old picture hanging on the wall, in the restaurant. One of the building, where this restaurant is located... Back when it actually was... A Chocolate Factory.

I've been doing much the same. I'm so used to having a clothesline, not having one is taking me some time to get used to, so things are hung on the window bars of my kitchen window. I was just determined to find a way to dry my blouses in the fresh air.

I have a utility room with a bar. I hang blouses there. I am not keen on blouses though as I prefer ts and tops.
Thank you for the link for the bug spray.
i am thinking of making this bug spray, deb said she got the citronella at the health food store, did you get yours at the drug store? i don't want to drive to a healthfood store. i have all the ingredients but not the drops. your blouse looks just like your background. i hang my clothes on hangers on the shower curatin rod in my bathroom. works great.
When the laundry hamper is full I say.. we are either the dirtiest or the cleanest couple in town.
Nice tip for bug spray, Thanks foe sharing.
cheers
Best thing we have found is to carry a couple of dryer softening sheets in our pocket or purse if we are going to be out very long. Wipe one over you and have a spare. Works for both Mr. Sweet and myself..and we hate OFF or any of those sprays.
Snow? Really? I haven't heard that in our weather forecast thank heavens. I'd keel over.
If that homemade repellant works and doesn't smell evil...
Love your new blouses. I hang my clothes on the beams holding up the first floor. Works for me! ☺
I love your pretty floral blouse and I hang mine in the doorways, too. I have a few crinkly type that can't be dried, so I pull them out of the dryer and hang in the doorway!
I hope your homemade repellent works. I haven't tried it yet, but I've read that a Bounce fabric sheet in your pocket will repel the pesky skitters.
Can't remember if I've mentioned it, but your header is pretty!
Have a nice weekend!
You are right about the laundry. I skip a day or two, and its out of hand!!!
it is amazing how laundry piles up...thank you for the shout out...so far it is working for me...I walked all over our lot with it on...not one skeeter...I put it on little britches jeans and shirt when we went to the park...no bites...let me know how it works...
I am going to try that spray! Deb has such good ideas! I am now 'real life' friends with her and her mother!
Love your pretty pics! I need to check out an alternative to Picnik.
I can't even IMAGINE snow at this time of year! It is beautiful here in Texas today. Not too hot an dnot too chilly. Perfect! Wish I could 'save' this weather and pull it out to enjoy once in awhile....like in August!
Hi Auntie!
Your new summer blouses are very pretty, I especially like the red and white strips!
I need to get some laundry done myself - thanks for the reminder... ;0)
Hugs,
Barb
I love to hang laundry and do it every time I can. Saves energy and $$ and if it gets me out of ironing - even better!
Love the new blouses - I just got a blue one very similar to yours.
Enjoy what's left of the weekend!
Leann
I like your red and white striped shirt!
No, I've never made bug spray.
I rarely iron clothes why because I am lazy that's why, I fold clothes as I get them off the line and if they are dryed in the clothes dryer then I have to take them out as soon as they are done and folded straight away.......
We have so many barn swallows, that in 17 years, I've only seen three of four mosquitoes.
