(Little truck which 'Uncle A.' made, just for the fun of it...)
Well, Tues. morning we had cold wind, rain, patches of blue sky peeking through, gray skies, sunny, hail, rain........ Guess this is what's called "changeable weather."
(Steering wheel, front lights, front grill... All made of wood...)

Empty Jack Daniels bottle, above... My try at being 'crafty'... Failed... -pout-
Cleaned out the bottle and stuck some faerie lights down in it. To make one of those cute lights-in-a-bottle things. First of all, the lights wouldn't easily stuff down to the bottom. Then the ding-dang lights wouldn't light, when I plugged them in.
So much for my crafting... ,-)

These are pics, of an article in a Sun. magazine insert...
"Is Your Stuff Weighing You Down?"
Just posting them, because I think they are a cute way to remind me, of my never-ending-quest.
To get rid of our "STUFF"!
Not for everyone, I know. People need differing degrees of *stuff,* in order to be happy.
Myself, I'd like to have less.

I'm enjoying the "Ruth Galloway Mysteries" by Elly Griffiths.
"When she’s not digging up bones or other ancient objects, quirky, tart-tongued archaeologist Ruth Galloway lives happily alone in a remote area called Saltmarsh near Norfolk, land that was sacred to its Iron Age inhabitants - not quite earth, not quite sea."
I love atmospheric stories... Not your typical heroine...
Archeology... Ancient peoples... Digs... Findings... Etc. Around an interesting story line, where you get to know and care about a cast of characters... Needless to say, I recommend these books. :-)
When I enjoy and recommend a book, I always wish I could discuss it, with other readers. But -sigh- We all move on to the next book, and the next. And forget about (like) 3 books back. -chuckle-

It is the only thing which interests us all and at all times, how to escape."

The little wood truck is beautiful. Uncle A did a great Job.
Don't let one bottle defeat you. there are plenty more ways to be creative.
I spent all day yesterday trying to get the hang of the new "user friendly" blog format. I saw nothing friendly about it and the scant amount of templet choices is just disgusting. Blogger is not my friend at the moment.

Penny
What a nice wooden truck! Wonderful job on that one!
We had the same insert in our Sunday paper. In fact, it is now part of the "stuff" that is stacked in the house.:) One of my goals is to try to tackle one of the suggestions in the near future.
Have a great Wednesday!
This weather is so changeable. Yesterday I was freezing in my spring jacket so today I wore my warmer one. Today, I was too warm. Just don't know how to dress anymore. Well, I can't complain though. I did have a lot of beautiful weather for my vacation last week.

oh i love that truck!!
i def need less STUFF!!
Oh, how I'd love to have less stuff! This is my number one goal for this year...less stuff, less paperwork.
Love the truck! Uncle "A" does fantastic work!
Okay, I'm off to deal with some of that "stuff"!
love the header tree and the bottle photo looks crafty to me. i like just the bottle. i have seen some of the bottles with lights but then where does the ugly plug hang from. that truck is really cute, great work.
Hi Auntie!
Wow, Uncle A is very talented! I'll bet Gabe would love to play with that truck!
I love a good mystery - I will have to check out those books. I am always looking for something new.
Stuff! I have so much stuff to go through and decide what to do with - I think it is a new epidemic in the USA!
Hugs,
Barb
We love cute little trucks around our house...what a talented fella you have on your hands!
And can you believe, this girly girl once wanted to grow up and be an archeaoligist;) I must check out these books!
Come visit any old time, my new friend!

Uncle sure is a talented wood craftsman. Great detail on the truck.
All of the books I have read that you have recommend I have liked but I'm not writing these down because I really have soooo many other books I have to read first. : )
that truck is awesome...that bottle would be nice with some wildflowers in it...great post Auntie...

Love the truck. If your crafting skills stink, just wait until the next craft sale in your city, and purchase what you fancy. Less frustration!!
The truck is really something. Uncle A really has a talent.
Like you, I wish I could do with less stuff.
Great truck! Uncle could open his own Etsy shop.
That Parade article really was good and is the reason that my vast stash of VHS tapes is already in the garbage. There's one problem...somewhere in there is my son's grammar school graduation video. I finally asked myself if I was ever going to take the time to view them all even if I could...answer was "no." Some things must remain in the heart and mind and not necessarily on tape.
We are having similar weather like so many other Easterners.
Hope that you are having a great week.
Oh, I LOVE archaeology and books where you get to know the case of characters like family. This is like Elizabeth Peters' Amelia Peabody series! I will have to check this out! Thank you!
ooo, I do indeed, have too much stuff. Waaay too much.
We want to get rid of everything, sell our house along with most of the furniture, buy a small house or possibly a mobile home, get out from under stress and strif....not to mention to save a little money.
Sooo, I need to get rid of MORE stuff.
