Musing~~~Pixie Dust~~~Book review~~~Etc.~~~Etc.

Peonies...  Peonies...  Peonies...  :-)

I understand the logic of...  Less Blog Traffic, in Summer.  But....  I tell ya', it's not that simple.  :-)  On Tuesday, from posting time to now...  I got:

 57 Visits
9 Comments

See?  That doesn't work out, to "say," that less people are looking at my blog.  I think 57 individual Visits, is a healthy number of people-looking.  (Individual Visits means, I do not count the times that the *Blogger Picture Seeker* "visits."  Nor do I keep counting my continuous Visitor from Albany NY.  Who comes all the time, but never Comments.)

But only 9 of 57 Visitors , bothered to leave a Comment.  Interesting.

48 just-passing-by-Visitors, seems like a LOT.  -chuckle-  And it certainly does mess-with the theory, that LESS people are on the Net, in summer.

Oh I know....  I do read/skim a new-to-me blog at times, without leaving a Comment.  Sometimes one is just seeing if a new-to-me blog, resonates or not.  And I don't want the blog owner, to think they have a new Follower, when I am just "passing through."  I suppose a lot of the foreign Visitors, fall into that category.

It's time to play in "Pixie Dust" again!!!  -grin-  Couldn't stand, trying to let my hair grow out, any longer.  So I had Patricia give me a "Pixie", yesterday.  Not a "Judy Dench cut".  Just a "Pixie".

 (Source)

I thought I'd be *bummed out* about cutting off, what had taken me so long, to grow.  But I'm not *bummed out.*  It's soooooo easy to care for.  And stays fine looking, all the time.  Coooooool!!!!  Yessssss!!!!!  :-)

Just for fun...  I found this delightful picture...  Of a Parisian Dining place.  Mmmm, dreamy hu?  :-))))))

IS it POSSIBLE??????????????

(One blossom fell off...)

Saturday, we both woke up nice and early and got an early start.  Went out to store to get a bigger pot, for the beautiful Tuberous Begonias we got, for the front step.

They had expensive ones, at the Garden Shop, so we went elsewhere....  And found one, not so expensive.  -grin-

It gives the beautiful Tuberous Begonias, more room to grow!  We always have them here, on the edge of the front step.  The spot is less sunny, and they thrive there.
(First of his "Old Roses" to blossom...)

He planted in front.  We had gotten PINK Wave Petunias, for on the patio.  He planted them, too.  I puttered and pottered around, sweeping up potting soil which had fallen and etc., etc.

(Checking out the frogs , in the pond...)

THEN, I began to WEED in his front perennial garden!  ME!  I weeded!!!!!  Walked around in the garden and pulled up rogue weeds.  Cut 'em off if I couldn't pull them up.  IT WAS AMAZING!!!

(*BK*)

I have so much more energy and get-up-and-go!!!  I've been saying it's a residual effect of the Prednisone I had to take, when sick.  But by now...  A week later....  Doesn't seem that much P., can still be in my system.  So maybe, it is the Healthy Eating Effect!  Which those who Juice and etc., tell of?!?!?!?

(One big frog, so far...)

I hadn't though of this possibility (due to Healthy Eating) before.  As I have said, people who push Juicing and Healthy Eating SAY that they began to feel better...  Doing it.  But these claims sound kind of "far fetched."

So one does not want to believe too much hype.  I just wanted to remain arthritis pain free and know I am eating in a more healthy way.  But wow!  If Healthy Eating really is giving me more pep, I'll take it!!!!!!!!!!!

"Today Class, our lesson will be on Inflammation."

(Planting...)

"Today Class, our lesson will be on Inflammation."

When you and I are *bedeviled* by Allergies, we have Inflammation.  When you and I have Arthritis Pain, we have Inflammation.  When you and I have certain Gut Discomfort, we have Inflammation.

My cold/allergies were so bad, that my doc gave me both Prednisone, and a diff Antibiotic.  Prednisone... Without going into all the medical reasons, one can simply say that Prendisone gets rid of Inflammation, in the body.

(Getting belt, to fix next door's vacuum cleaner...)

My Allergy/Cold symptoms are gone.

And my ARTHRITIS PAIN, is gone!

I can walk up and down stairs, without pain!  I can get up off the *pottie,* in one move.  Before, I had to rock back and forth, to get up the momentum, to get up.  (Too much info I know but...)  In the morning, I do not get up all stiff.

Magical!!!

 (Madagascar Pink Rice...)

But!!!

We can not continue to take Prednisone for long.  The *magic* will cease.  Our pains will return, if we continue to put food into our bodies, which cause Inflammation.

Why does our body make excess Inflammation?  I go with the theory that the processed, pesticide and anti-biotic ridden food, we consume...  Does.  The body becomes almost overwhelmed with trying to eliminate all this "shit," and we get Inflammation, in the process.

Being able to eat only Juicing, for a period of time, is a Cleanse.  Allowing our bodies to eliminate the "crap."  But Paul (our doc) putting me on this regimen of Prensidone, to clear up my allergy stuff, is almost a Cleanse too.

 (Family over, to open pool...)

So, now....  When I stop the meds, I am back on my own.  Do I NEED sugar, processed foods, cakes, pies, cookies, etc.....  Do I NEED these things MORE, than TRYING to be (mostly) pain free?!?  We shall see...

So far, I use local Honey for my decaf...  We have cut out processed foods.  Are eating Organic, and only Organically grown meats, chicken, etc.  (One does NOT have to eat much meats, btw.  We teach ourselves, that we do need meat, meat, meat.)  ~~~~   But I have a ways to go.  I have to learn to bake, without the use of regular sugar or any of its equivalents.

(Dust catcher --  Pretty dresser scarf  --  Dust catcher  --  OUT of bedroom)

I could have given click-able links, to information.  But we are all rushed.  If you want more, go to the Mayo Clinic web site and type in Inflammation.

Sorry the Class was so long.

Thank you for your patience.

Class dismissed.

:-)

Flow...

Peacefully *lost,* in one's own Little Corner.  That's what these illustrations say, to me.  And the idea, calls to me.

One Dear Reader said she was getting worried about me, having all these colds.  Thank you Dear Reader.  I'm worried about me, too.  Worried, and sick, and tired.  Of everything.  Including my own voice.  ,-)  Not good ways, for anyone, to be.

Sooooo...  It's Quiet Time.

It's time to just pay attention, to my own little plot, and my own little cottage, and my own little fireside...  For a while...  Do everything, at my own pace...  Read...  Ponder...  Listen to Nature...

And spend more time contemplating...  And less time, talking...  ,-)   And try to find, my own comfort place...

Oh yes, I'm sure to have the need to write, now and then.  But with No Obligation and etc.  Just flow.  Just flow.  Just flow.

Update~~~With No Obligation~~~:-)~~~

(Source)

Perhaps it's again time, for a wee Update.  Yes, I am getting better.  But slowly.  ~~~~~~~  I know!  Could the fact that I waited till DAY 5, of this "Cold From Hell", to go seek medical help?  Could this delay, have something to do with the lack of speed, of my recovery?  ~~~~~~~    Yeahhhhhh....  Very well could be!

(Source)

Reading is helping, when I even feel like doing that.  I have 2 new book reviews, on my "Auntie's Reads 2013," if anyone wants a possible book reading suggestion.    Click here, for one.   And click here, for the second.

I'm Not missing, spending mornings on the computer.  I'm enjoying having my decaf, and looking out the patio door/windows.  I'm noticing Spring!     ~~~~~~~    And perhaps, even more surprising, I'm enjoying the Beauty of Spring, for itself.   Meaning, not simply as a "Photo Op."    ~~~~~~~    It would seem that I have carried my "Photo Op Obsession" a bit too far.  I'm like the tourist, who never sees her trip, till she comes home and looks at the pictures she took.  In other words,  "Auntie" has been being rather stupid.  And I'm glad of a forced-noticing, how I have been acting.    ~~~~~~~    There is much to be said, of simply looking at, the changing play-of-light, on leaves...  Without running for my camera.    ~~~~~~~
 Imagine that?!?

I'm still NOT on the Net much.  Not commenting on blogs.  So you know I hate to leave my Comments Turned On.  But then, some Dear Readers may just *blow their lids,* if I turn Comments Off again.  Sooooo...  They are on.  But you have NO NO NO duty to make one.

Hugs...

Juicing~~~'Critters'~~~New Info~~~Musing~~~Etc.

Need a duck feather?  :-)  See the white feather, floating right in the middle of the pic, ON the pool cover?  There were 2 ducks on the pool, this morning.  I scared them away, when opening the blind.  Just as well.  I don't like them floating around (and pooooping) on the pool cover.  Even if that water is pumped off...

Brand new Juicer!

Next door decided to keep their Juicer.  But had a coupon for money-off a new one.  So we got the new one.  Off to get green veggies, at the Farmer's Market today.  :-)  ~~~~~~   Thing is, fruit is easy, and delicious to Juice.  I need to learn to get all kinds of veggies, into our Juice.

Can you see the old cat, right in the middle of the pic?  You'll see 'Snowflake' easier, in the next 2 pics.  Old and movin' slow.  Don't think the birds have much to worry about, from her, anymore.  :-)

I'm reading/enjoying another of the "Ruth Galloway Mysteries."  You find lots of interesting things, in these books!  One I learned was ....  That a group of ravens can be called 'An unkindness of ravens.'  ~~~~~~~  I knew that a group of crows is called 'A murder of crows".  But the raven group name, was new to me.

Learned another couple of new words...  "Normalcy Bias".  A mental state people enter, when facing a disaster.  The assumption is made, that since a disaster never has occurred, then it will never occur.  -sigh-
Normalcy Bias link...

I might also call it "Living In La La Land"...  Ya' know, that attitude that everything will work out fine, and everything is "taken care of"...  Which, from reading here, you know, is NOT my natural view.  -chuckle-

Duck~~~Diff Pesto~~~"Stop Complaining"~~~

My point here, wasn't about Comments-Per-Say.  It was about having *zillions* more Visits, than Comments.  Which is pretty common around here.  But still "bugs" me a bit.  If people have the time to Visit/Read a blog (even on busy weekends), how come so few Visitors/Readers bother to even leave a tiny Comment?  ~~~~~~~~~   NO  ANSWER, I KNOW.

Duck on pool cover...

I found how to increase the size of how all print, shows up on my computer.  But now, I wonder if my Blog Print is showing up, as tooooooooo big????  In YOUR BLOG?  I know.  We can increase/decrease how blog print looks, on our screens...  But...  I still wonder....?  ~~~~~~~~~   And do you find it easy to increase/decrease all print, when you are on the computer?

We wanted to have Pesto And Pasta on Mon.   But didn't have the fresh stuff, one usually uses for Pesto.  Had Argula, so he made it, with that.  :-)  Interesting different taste.  :-)  He wants to try making Pesto with black olives too, which sounds yummy to me.     ~~~~~~~~~     And somewhere, it suggested putting Pesto on a baked potato.  Yessss!  No need for him to use butter!  :-)  Tonight, one of our 2 weekly fresh fish dinners, with a salad and 1/2 a baked potato, topped with Pesto.

(Pretty little walk-way, up the alley...)

-grin-  I begin this blog entry, by complaining.  And now I add...  STOP  COMPLAINING.  It's one of those "Hey-how-come-I-didn't-think-of-that" sayings!  ,-)

From Pg. 185 in "Clean" by A. Junger, M.D.

"Stop complaining" ........  I saw with a jolt how any complaint is really the expression of a negative emotion or state.  It gives the complainer a sense of immediate relief, even pleasure.........Complaining is like an exhaust pipe in a car, it lets out the pressure, relieving the complainer in the short term..........this negative energy pollutes your environment and is doubly toxic to the people  who are listening............Most complainers expect you to join them in their complaint. .............The apparent camaraderie that is generated by this interaction gives the one who joins the complainer a sense of immediate pleasure as well."

"...almost without exception, complainers and those who join them later on, when alone, feel depleted, somewhat depressed.  Most never put these two dots together and have no way of ever breaking this cycle of quantum toxicity, both personal and environmental."

Remind me of this, the next time I get *grumpy*!!!  -chuckle-

Slowly......... Slowly......... Slowly.........

Slowly.........  Slowly.........  Slowly.........

Returning "Auntie sezzzzzz..." blog, to more usual stuff...

I've devoted too much time, to paying attention to those &%(*&%^*^$$^% scum-bags, in the news.

:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:

BUT!!!

Our various government parts, continue to act like "the 3 stooges"...  Jumping to conclusions of no-foreign-influence, with the Boston Bombing scum-bags...   Desire for Political Correctness, keeping Administration from saying that America is facing a jihadist enemy...

Grabbing an innocent man, for the Ricin poison mailings...  Deleting *un-liked* stuff, from public information, concerning the Benghazi attack and massacre...  Napolitano and FBI can't get their stories-straight...

It's pathetic...
Our Beloved Country is being run, and taken care of by....
Well, you fill in the blank.

:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:

But, to dwell too long, in "The Land Of News," is simply bad for my health.  My body tells me so.  And I do try to listen to my body.  So.........................  Back to more normalcy....

This is a pile of books, which I have not read cover-to-cover.  So I can't count them, in my *official* "Auntie's Reads 2013" count.  But I have read them, here-and-there.  Reading what I wanted and skimming over other pages...

I've had them out of the library.  And I've been spending time, with them.  So it seemed ok, to at least picture them, and say about the "skimming."   Books-to-skim have their place in reading too.  In fact, they can be relaxing.  :-)

Ahhhhhhhhhh but!  "A Hat Full of Sky," is not a to-be-skimmed book!  'Tis a book to be enjoyed!!!  Fully.  And being the 2nd in a Series, I have 2 more to enjoy yet.  Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeee...  You can read more, by clicking here and going to "Auntie's Reads 2013" blog...  :-))))
