(Another pretty house, on one of the streets in my city...)
159.2
I'm going to try something different. Never tried here, before. ,-) (There does that have your attention???????) Well, that number at the top, should be some sort of a tip off. Showing the facts to be that on July 18th, Wednesday, 159.2 was a fact, in some way or other.
.
Geeee, maybe I could just go on, rambling my usual post, and let you guess. LOL. Fill in that *elusive number* tomorrow, too.
.
That way, if I wanted to *chicken out* and not continue... I'd have given myself the chance to op out.
(This is the side view...)
This corner property is a Joy to pass by! This corner had a totally derelict home on it, for years and years and years. For some reason, nothing seemed to be able to be done, about it... For years, as I said. A blight on the otherwise nice residential street of nice older homes.
(This is the front of the apartment building)
Some wonderful builder was able to tear down the mess, design and build a lovely apartment building, and make for beauty. I love it!!! Totally in keeping with the ambiance, of the other homes on the street, and a total WIN!
.
Love the design! Love the colors! Love it totally. Oh and I would LOVE to know someone living there, and to get inside!!!! Of course! Any house lover *worth her salt,* wants to GET-INSIDE, don't we????? :-)
Just some little daisies... By a trellis... Which has rust-covered *dingle-dangles* on it. RUST! Rust in itself, is often a "Photo Op" for we blogging-camera-wielding-ladies. ,-)
(Showing a BIG older home, for a change. Not practical for must of us. Cottages look more like the choice of most of us. But it isssssssssssssss beautiful, isn't it????? If people had family, to fill it with. And MONEY to maintain it. :-)))))
.
So symmetrical in design. From bottom to top. And the gorgeous, lovely, amazing, *knock-your-socks-off* screened in porch on the side!!!!!!!!!! Oh my! Oh me! Oh mercy, that is a lovely house. -sighhhhhhhhhhh-
For a change of pace, a very old church, down street... It's called "Preservation Hall," and continues to be in the process of restoration. But in continual use...
.
I was saving photos like this one, for my "City Blog." But I'm going to discontinue that. Even saying I expect No Comments, no one is visiting it. (No one... but the "blog-stalker", that is....)

You mean that corner home is new? Wow. The owner really did a great job. It totally fits in with the community. What a win all the way around. I wish that more landlords would do great things with their buildings and thereby be able to attract a better tenant who'll pay more. Yup. That's what I wish. There are enough low-income housing developments all over the place.
The apartment building in your neck of the woods sure looks a lot better than those in mine.

Kudos to that builder for maintaining the historical aspects of that street. Do you walk around your town and take those photos, or are you in a car? I'd like to take some pix of the buildings around here, but walking isn't an option.
BTW thank you for your 'dress' explanation on my blog comments. Whew! I thought you were June Cleaver or Harriet Nelson with pearls and heels!
Peace,
Muff
Can't wait to hear what 159.2 means!
Well, #1. I guess the number would be a 7.
#2. I have never seen a link to your City Blog...
#3. There's one called Possee but it's for "invited" readers only.

That is a beautiful new old building!
I like the white house but for me I would need it to have more color on it. Kind of blah for me. but a great looking house.
Oh I'd love to get inside the house and look around. I live in a townhouse and everyone's house is just the same. Yet I'd love to look inside every one and see how they have decorated it!
I'm missing the point about the number. Are we supposed to guess what it means?
lost on the numbers...great houses...cool apartment...I'm sorry I didn't know you had another blog...boy am I behind...
Beautiful homes again, "Auntie"!!! You live in a wonderful neighborhood. I am alway curious to see what someones's decor is inside their homes. I don't really have a style except to say that I am eclectic and I love having the things around me that make me happy!!!
I don't have a clue about the 159.2 number's meaning! Are you going to tell us???
Caring Hugs,
Jan
That number reminds me too much of the number on the scale when someone might stand on it!
I don't have a clue what 159.2 means. But I do know that there are some beautiful homes in your neighborhood! How nice to live in such a pretty area. And you are right, I'd love to see the inside of these!! Keep the photos coming!
I didn't know about another blog. :)
I think you have such lovey homes in your neighborhood. Ours is a tract house community. VINTAGE now. Our house has changed over the years but the floor plans are all fairly similar.
The builder of the homey apartments is to be commended. He did a great job!!
LOVE your town and neighborhood!!
Coming here is a breath of fresh air. This apartment house could have fooled me. I am used to the ugly tall buildings with dozens of apartments. This would be a pleasure to live in.
Go on over and knock on someone's door, just to say hello and take a peek.
You live in such a pretty area. I am happy for you.

That apartment building is lovely. My first thought when I saw it was I'd love to see the inside :). Does your area ever have home tours? We have a historical area nearby that has a home tour ever year. It's a dream come true for me to get inside some of those gorgeous old homes.
