♥ And here we are -- 2nd day of the *New Thingy*

 ♥

Isn't that cool????????  We have a prism, in one of the Den windows.   During the day, the sun flows into the Den windows.   Which are on the south side of the house.  I happened to notice that it was showing a lovely rainbow, on the back of the door, going into the kitchen.  Sooooo, naturally, I *dropped-everything*, and grabbed my camera and snapped away.  :-)

Ahhhhh, the Joy of loving a camera!  :-)

Not sure if I put this photo of the Mums, into my blog, as yet.  I am using the Mums, as a Header Pic now.  And they are lovely.  (Thank you to the Dear Readers who have commented on how pretty a color, they are.  ♥  )  Since I change my Header Pic often, I like to keep a photo of what I used, right in my blog, so it is not "lost."  :-)

(Dark Mums...)

I discovered that I CAN know my partially composed posts, are "somewhere."  But not totally sure *where,*  at this moment.  -sigh-   This is how I blog...   I put some of a post, in Draft (it used to be called Draft) and come back to it, and tweak it, until it is ready.  At first, I didn't know *the how* of doing this, in this "New thingy."  Now I do.  I guess.  I hope.   LOL.  I'm not sure!!!!  -moan-

Just a pic of a moth, which was on the screen door, when I went out to take pics...

Yet another *spectacularly fetching* self-portrait.  LOL!!!!!

No one can say, that "Auntie" is not brave!!!

-giggggles-

Orrrrrr....   Would some term it, that "Auntie" is a wee, bit stupid?   ,-)

LOOK who was out on the porch, next door???  I his old spot!!!  "LUCKY"!!!  I had to take a pic of him!  And tell him, how happy I was, to see him in his old spot!!!  :-))))))

Needless to say, in a little while, "you-know-who" was up there.  "BK"  "Bad Kitty"  ,-))))

Just an example of the gorgeous sun light, we had on Wednesday...

And it's now early morn on Sept. 20th.  Sad to say, I did not figure out how to "leave-my-unfinished-post-over-night."  Bahhh-humbug.  Must *Conquer* this part of the New Thingy, today!  Must!  It is my Quest!

-chuckle-  Well, that's a better way of saying it...  Than saying; "This ding-dang-new-thingy" is driving-me-up-a-wall."...

-pout-

-mumble-

-grumble-

,-)))))))))))))))

They got me today with the new blogger. I love the way they say the new 'streamlined' blogger when there are actually more steps than ever. Like you, I think of something and because the old memory is not as it once was, immediately draft my thoughts to work on at a later date. I find now it no longer stays on draft. Both draft and publish comes up and there is an extra button to push to get to drafts only. What a pain.

I just left Lisa's (A Cottage to Me). She's lamenting the switch as well as she came to it kicking and screaming.

My method is a bit different from yours about post dating or saving a draft. Hope that this doesn't muddy the waters for you. Anyway, I schedule it for days ahead in order to save it for future working on. When it's finished, I either reschedule it or just click automatic and let it post. Guess what I'm saying is that I never save anything in a draft.

When you're in the post-writing page and are ready to exit but not publish, just hit the "Save" button above the post box, and then click on either the "Close" button (which is 2 buttons to the right) or the big orange "B" in the upper-left corner of the screen.

Blogger will also save the draft for you at regular intervals. If you try to exit your draft post without hitting "Save", and Blogger hasn't saved it in, oh, the last 5 seconds or so, you'll get a panicky message about "losing unsaved data". Don't worry about it. Your post is still there. But to make sure the very latest tiny changes are saved, hit the "Save" button first.

When you're stuck in Blogger and can't find your way back, always hit the big orange "B" at the upper left. This will take you to a kind of overview screen that shows your reading list at the bottom and some basic stats in the upper third of the screen.

Here is how I find all those draft posts, published posts, comments, and other things that USED TO HAVE HANDY, HIGHLY VISIBLE TABS (hint hint - are you listening, Blogger?): Hit the big orange "B" first. Now look for the orange button with a pencil on it. This button is about an inch or two down from the top of the screen, just to the right of center. Two buttons to the right of the orange pencil button is a little downward-pointing triangle button. Click on this, and you'll get a drop-down menu which lets you choose where to go next: Posts, Pages, Comments, etc. After you choose one of these, the drop-down menu moves over to the left-hand side of the screen (?!?).

And I just learned something new while typing this! If you click on the little folded-corner-page button BETWEEN the orange pencil and the downward-pointing triangle, you go straight to your list of posts! Yippee!

But yes, it does seem cumbersome. And there are probably quicker ways of doing things - but I haven't learned them yet. :)

P.S. Just think - we're staving off Alzheimer's by learning new things! Forming new neural connections! Being forced outside our comfy little boxes!

P.P.S. I'd like my box back, please.

P.P.P.S. It's not really a big ORANGE "B", but an orange square with a white "B" in it. Just a clarification.

And your picture is lovely. :)

Glad you have things figured out with Blogger, Auntie. Is there a place on the page you are composing that will allow you to schedule when you want your posts to appear?

Have a good Thursday!

Sounds like you got a lot of good advice about the blogger and hope you learn it all soon and are happy with it. I changed a long time ago when you had an option so learned it a while ago.

I LOVE the red mums!!
