♥ Setting the mood... And a dvd...

The moon is waxing...

Susan Branch's book, sets the Mood For Autumn...

"Autumn" book illustrations, set the Mood For Autumn, too.

Spent flowers, going to seed, also set the mood, around here...

As do the Rose Hips.  Did you ever hear of Rose Hip Tea, Dear Reader...?

Have you watched the DVD of "Bel Ami"?

If not, are you planning on seeing it?

Because if you do not want to be 'spoiled,'  please don't read any farther...

I never read the book on which it is based, so I don't know if the film ending, is the same as the book ending.  In the film ending, the main character seems to have wound up on-top-of-the-world, as it were.  What I'd like to know is, your view...  Does the ending imply that he will continue to have the little dark haired beauty, with the big eyes, as his Mistress?

It seemed that way, to me.

Absolutely love Susan Branch books.
This one I don't have. Will have to look into it. I also love the Gooseberry cookbooks.

Somebody's been busy making jam. It wasn't Uncle was it? They look so pretty all lined up that way. You know, when you mentioned rose hips the other day, I went back out to look behind the little star and, sure enough, there was a little (as in tiny) hip back there. ☺ Never have had rose hip tea...sounds as if it might be healthful or something.

I love rose hip and chamomile tea...yum! Healthy and soothing. Susan Branch wrote my favourite cookbook of all time; I go back to it frequently.
