♥ Welcome September...

WELCOME   SEPTEMBER...

A cardinal is chirping happily, outside the den window...  Celebrating the delightfully large menu of Japanese Beatles, in the over-flowing grape vines, on the pool fence.  Oh those cardinals love, love, love to feast on Japanese Beetles!  And we love them to do so.  :-)

Windows can be open all night, and early morning...  And most of the morning.  Then the sun comes around to the south and pours in our windows.  Which is lovely in winter.  But not so nice now.  Windows/doors have to close, and the A/C is turned on.

Of course, the daily course of open-to-air or closed-with-A/C all depends on my allergy symptoms of the day/hour/minute.  -sigh-  But I'm happy to have the open windows, when I can.  With less heat.  And I'm also happy to be able to turn on the wall A/C units, when I need them.

As you can see, both above and in my Header picture, I still don't have my Halloween decorations distributed.  :-)  This weekend!  This weekend!

Wishing my fellow citizens of our Beloved Country,
a safe and happy Labor Day Holiday weekend!!!

I'm afraid that I've found your blog only recently and don't know what part of the country you live in? But I do know that we can't 'open our windows' here in Texas because of the heat and those blasted West Nile mosquitoes!

But Happy September 1st anyway!

You're even worse than I am with Christmas decorations coming out right after Thanksgiving. Ha! You must be an eager gal.

Send those cardinals over...I'm so sick of Japanese beetles. Not that I've been eating them myself, of course. ;>

You're so far ahead with getting Fall decorations out so early! I've noticed a few color changes, but with weather still in the 90s, we're in summer mode for a while.
Peace,
Muff

Halloween already! I know how much you love Halloween and all the evility and such that goes with it! I just made up a new word (and I'm only kidding of course!)

Japanese beetles must love the whole United States! I just had one this morning crawl across the floor in front of me at L*we's! They're everywhere!

There's no cool breezes here - crank up that AC til about Halloween! My daughter when she was about 4, had to be Catwoman for Halloween. We started out Trick-or-Treating in her all black finery and her ears and whiskers. House by house we went collecting goodies, and by the second or third block, she'd peeled off most of her costume - just black tights and ears and whiskers. We were all dripping wet with sweat!!! Good memories!

Love the flying monkeys quote! :)

We're enjoying the cool nights and mornings too - but the days are still pretty warm.

A happy Labor Day to you too, Auntie!

HALLOWEEN ? Gosh, it's over a month away, girlfriend. :)) Nothing like getting all ready early, tho. :)

It's still SUMMER here...hot as blue blazes. :)

I put out some of my little pumpkin decor...I love fall and like to stretch it out as long as I can as it is such a short season. I do not look forward to it getting dark early..but I love the cool evenings.
