Yes Dear Ones, the sun shone here, on Thursday. Doesn't "Uncle A's" Old Rose look lovely, in the sunlight? Even if it is getting a bit wilted? And there are two more buds, coming... To the left...
The sun shone, and the sky was blue, and the clouds were white... Above the changing trees...

Out second oldest Granddaughter will be having a Birthday next week. And since she is away at college, we put together a "care package." This and that and the other thing. And a "Pet Ghost." ,-))) I didn't find the "Pet Ghost" by myself. Mary showed the one she got, and I thought is was so cute. So I got one for "Grand" who had to leave her pet kitty-cat at home. :-)
-chuckle- Lots of sun-on-leaves-and-etc. pics. Because it was so lovely, to actually see the sun, for a day. I am missing "Golden October." I am. To really appreciate the changing color on the trees, etc. But, we take a day, when we get a day. :-)
And guess what? At first, I wrote the first line up there... Like this; "Please excuse all the pics of sun on leaves..." Yeah! Just what I grumbled about, yesterday... The fact that we tend to want to "apologize for" or "explain why", etc.... In our blogging. But I caught myself! I changed my words. Instead of saying; "Please excuse..." I just chuckled. ♥ Yeaaaaaa me. I'm getting there!!! ♥
Those pretty little flowers, which I called a weed, but a Dear Reader told me the name of them... And of course, I have forgotten it. -sigh-
These turned leaves, are on trees, right outside our bedroom window. They cast a glorious golden color into the room! So beautiful...

Happy October!
beautiful fall photos. i can never get enough of the changing leaves!
Your granddaughter will feel so loved just as you wish her to! It's raining again here, though we did have the most beautiful day yesterday just as you did. I savored it!
i am dying to know what a pet ghost looks like. and i love that quote about the leaves and eaves. beautiful leaves and the last rose standing.
Just as I knew you would do, Auntie...you posted some beautiful photos again today :)
Uncle A's rose looks lovely by itself.
What a wonderful packet of gifts for your grand-daughter. I want a "pet ghost", too :)
Have a beautiful, sunny fall day, Auntie~~~
your granddaughter is lucky to get care packages I know the college kids love it...that reminds me I need to get one together to send to our sweet dance girl before Halloween...
So glad you got a nice sunny day. : )
I'm sure your granddaughter will love her birthday care package. Happy Birthday to her!
I remember being overseas and getting care packages from my gramma. Happy days indeed!!! : )
Love to see the sun shining on those leaves!
Happy UpComing Birthday to your grand. :)
It is supposed to rain here today...sure hope it does.
I am working on a care pkg for a grandson in Portland...when he was little, we had so much fun at Halloween. We'd go Trick or Treating and dress us scary...had so much fun. He is now 22 and not into the kid stuff anymore. So, I am sending him GROWNUP Halloween. :)
Aw, sweet package for the GrandGirl! She'll love it!
Love your fall pictures, sun and all. Your flowers look like mine. My purple coneflowers have bit the dust, they have black tops on them. Wish they lasted longer - I just love them!
That is a wonderful quote. Our weather has been extremely windy and most of the really vivid autumn colour has been blown away. *sigh*
Is that "weedy" flower some kind of Aster?
I love that quote! Your trees are looking like Fall...beautiful!
And Happy Birthday to your g'daughter. I know she will be delighted with her gifts.
Have a lovely fall weekend!
I admire that the little rose refuses to give up its beauty so quickly. It would be fun to see the look on your granddaughters face when she receives her colorful package. Kids love to get mail. :) The Autumn wind had been blowing for two days here and now we have rain. Weather is language we all share. :) I love when the trees cast a tint of color onto a wall...so pleasant.
