♥ Old... New... In-between... ,-)

Oooooops!!!  Are you feeling a wee bit off-kilter, looking at this first photo????  -grin-  When the sun goes in again (as on Friday) I have to resort to *Artsy-Fartsy* type photos.  :-))))  At least, that's what I call a photo, like this...  Kinda tipped...  Too much brightness...  The Faerie Lights are almost twinkling...<---That, I love!  ~~~~~~~~  Btw, the sun did come out, later.

-chuckle-  Did you notice how I have devised a way, to keep showing a Header pic, which I adore?  Even after changing my big, main Header pic?  I just love this photo above, and didn't want to change it from being my Header pic.  But!  I also just *HAVE* to change often.
~ So, I simply put it,  below the present Header pic.  But still have to work on sizing it, so it will fit properly.  And not kinda'-to-the-left-side.  This will do, for now.  :-)

Do you enjoy watching "It's The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown"?  I do, and I had forgotten about it, till Nellie's post reminded me.  Thank you Nellie!!!!

(A pic of some Gladys Taber books, from an old blog of mine...)

I looked at a lot of the unfamiliar Icon pics, in my Blogger Followers button.  Have you ever done that?  Who ARE these people????  Have they ever commented here?  How would I know them, if they have not commented?  Maybe some just want to read blogs, and not become entangled with the Blogging?  Or perhaps, they stopped by my blog once, liked it, and joined as a Blogger Follower...  And forgot about it?  :-)  Perhaps...?   Maybe...?

Have you ever done this?  Clicked on the Icon pics you are not familiar with, in your Blogger Follower button?  79 Followers, is the number on mine!  Yikes!  70 freakin' 9!  It goes to show that the 'Number of Followers' a blog has, doesn't mean...  much.  As I have suspected, for quite a while.

Just another one of the amazing things, about Blogging.  :-)))))

Look what came?  Ahhh yes, I got *hooked* into ordering these seasonal Cottage Journals.  :-)  I don't get many magazines.  "Victoria" and "Mary Jane's Farm."  And I have not renewed "Mary Jane's Farm."  But I sent for these.  2 more issues will come, and then I'll have them all.  *Mighty-purdy* inside, I tell ya'.  :-)

Exactly, the entire concept of Followers is extremely artificial. I have no idea who the vast majority of them are and why they are following me. =D

Oh, Gladys Taber books...I'm taking a closer look at them.

Have a delightful weekend!

Your Halloween vignettes are so cute and cozy all lit up.
We must have similar taste in reading materials. Just this week I found the Stillmeadow Seasons book at a thrift shop. It has been added to my collection of Gladys Taber books. Is there anything more comforting to read as the seasons change?
Also, last night I was looking through my Cottage Journal magazine ...again. It is the only magazine I subscribe to.
As for the followers, I have noticed the very same thing. I tend to think they discover the blog, add it to favorites and then forget all about it. I suppose I've been guilty of the same thing with all of the many blogs out there.

i love love love the oil lamp and the jar lamp i the header to. i follow about 10 blogs that i like to look at their photos every time they post, but i never comment. i just like their photos. i view the blogs i follow in Google reader, when i come to those 10 i just scroll through admiring the photography. that is wha they are doing, a lot of them are in foreign countries and if they wrote you would not be able to read it. i do that for other countries. it is a way to view without comment. they don't forget they just view and don't comment. i like the thought that people are viewing my photos and don't care if they don't comment. i have enough comments to keep up with now.

I agree with Sandra. Sometimes I wonder who reads and I often forget there may be a larger audience than I think. I simply journal and think of the few really truly blogger 'followers' as friends and family. I've never wanted too many 'followers'....I like to get to know people. I have been guilty of 'following' and then losing interest in some blogs. I do not care for commercial type blogs or the ones that have thousands of comments! I should take some time and weed out my list. Then there are a few blogs I follow who do not update often and it is always worth the read when they do. I'm thinking of 2 from Scotland both of which I LOVE!

Your photos are beautiful!!! Love them!!!!

I have read every single word by Gladys Taber! And LOVED reading them! I re read some of her books every year!

Happy Fall week end, Dear Blogger Friend!

I've never read Gladys Taber; I'll have to look her out the next time I go to the library.

If you have a close encounter and don't have your iron on you can always turn your shirt or jacket inside out. Or pull out a pocket mirror. Or have a silver bell or two on your person......or a four leaf clover in your shoe. hehehe

More gorgeous photos, Auntie!!! I don't blame you for keeping that darling cat photo on your blog...it is so darned cute :)

I think that sometimes people like what they saw or read and become a "follower" of a blog, but they are to busy to visit often. I know that there are many bloggers who love to visit, but hate to leave comments. I love "followers" and I will usually follow a blog that touches my interests.

Have a great day and BTW...I love those fairy lights!!!

I'm happy I've met some really nice bloggers...I have a lot of followers that I don't think have ever commented it used to bother me; but now it doesn't...I have about a dozen loyal readers and I enjoy that...

I love your blog look, Auntie! Love the header and photos today. I have followers who never comment and figure they lost interest or just forgot.
And, I love Gladys Taber books, too. I've read most of the ones you've pictured. It's that time of year when it's fun to snuggle under a cozy throw and read one of her books.
Hope your weekend is a good one. It's raining here...we're needing it!

I always like the special effects when you use them in your pics. This past summer, when I was in the mood to re-read Gladys Taber's books, I tried to get them at the library. Come to find out, our county library, a fairly large system, no longer had any available. I don't know if they sold them, as they often do with older books, or if people checked them out and never brought them back. It worked out all right, though. I was able to get Stillmeadow Seasons and Stillmeadow Sampler from Amazon at reasonable prices. Now I can read some Gladys Taber whenever I like. They never get old to me.

When I notice a new follower I usually go and see who they are. Most though I never hear from.

I always enjoy stopping by here. : )

I have read a few of the Stillmeadow books, years ago, and enjoyed them very much. For some reason the one thing that sticks in my mind is that she/they seasoned their new peas with mint. (!)

I have a jar lamp very like yours on my nightstand - with a blue glass Mason jar. :)
