♥ 7am and still blissfully unaware... UPDATE!

I put Halloween decorations away, and began with Thanksgiving.  Set these little things, on my mirror tray.  But it was kind of bland....

Looked out the window and saw these red/and/yellow berries.  So went out and got some of them.

Then I clipped them and put them randomly, on the mirrored tray.  There!  That adds a little more interest.  ~~~~~~~~~   Those little old dark gray Turkeys, were "Uncle A's" Mothers.  So they are kind of a family heirloom.  :-)))))    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~   Son next door, like to keep things, preserve things, etc.  So I told him;  "Grammy's Turkeys are yours!"   Yeah, guess I'd better put it in writing.  -grin-  Just in case.  -chuckle-

This pic shows the old Pilgrim man, which "Uncle A." carved a long time ago.  We have never been too thrilled with the face.  -chuckle-

Speaking of passing things down....  Some other items, I have already given to family members.  Theirs to use, now.  Not wait till I pass.  :-)   Actually, we have a detailed Will.  Stuff is covered.  We have always had a Will.  It's just how we "do" things.   Do you Dear Reader, have a detailed Will, and End Of Life Instructions and burial instructions?

And here is the Pilgrim lady.  Not too thrilled with her either.  -giggggles-  But, he carved them and I put them out.  :-)  Tradition.  :-)
..*+*+*+..+* *.* *+..*+*+*+..~..*+*+*+..+* *.* *+..*+*+*+..

All the above, was written ahead of time.  Yesterday we voted, thus doing all we could...   Then spent the rest of the day on projects.  He, on his out doors project, which he wants to finish, before the snow flies.  ~~~~~~~~~~  I straightened up downstairs and cleaned some, upstairs.  Read.  Took a nap.  We had our late afternoon coffee and eventually had a light dinner.  Very light dinner!  ,-)  Then I put a cd on and we watched 4 episodes of "Pie In The Sky" and went to bed.  ~~~~~~~~~~~~   Yes.  All quiet pursuits and accomplishments.  No nail biting and worrying and tv watching.   ~~~~~~~~~   As my Subject Line says...  'Tis near 7am and I am still blissfully unaware.  Just think of how much "weeping and gnashing of teeth" we saved ourselves.   ,-)

Betcha' you Dear Reader, can not imagine such an Election Day.  And Night.

-sigh-  Now I will post this, and break my blissful un-awareness.  Perhaps our City Charter was smashed.  Perhaps our country was smashed.  But we had a good day, and a good night's sleep.  Because in the end, there wasn't a damn thing more, we could have done about any of it.

:-))))))))))))

UPDATE:

Yes, our Beloved Country was smashed...

But our City Charter was not...

God save us.

Even though I don't think God is listening.  Tell me how He could be, with this travesty of a Socialist Form of Gov., being voted in, by our people?

I don't do too much decorating for Thanksgiving. I do have a few little pumpkins and will bring some berries in for Thanksgiving Day when my family is with us. Getting hungry for turkey, dressing, gravy, cranberry sauce and....PUMPKIN PIE.
Yummmmmm.....

I wasn't going to comment since I'm so upset today that I'm think I'm going to be like Vee and take some time off. But I thought about what I read here and have to say that I agree wholeheartedly with Donna. God didn't pull the levers or check the boxes on the ballots. The people did. We are not puppets, we have free will to do as we choose. Sadly, more chose to vote for the Democrat. They weren't listening to God's voice, they were too busy listening to NBC, CBS, ABC, CNN and MSNBC liberal pundits covering up for and praising Obama and believing their lies.

And quite frankly, I'm also wondering about the voter fraud!! Some things just aren't making sense to me.

I'm just sick with worry about my beloved country now. Am probably going to take some time off. I'll be reading but not writing. Take care!

God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
The courage to change the things I can,
And the wisdom to know the difference.

Love your heirlooms!

I love the faces on the pilgrim man and woman, then again, I've always been a bit contrary.

I like your red and yellow berries picture!!

You were smart to spend the day and evening the way you did!!

We have a will but not detailed.

Those beautiful berries on your tray are called "bittersweet" - either American Bittersweet or Oriental Bittersweet. If you have little ones or pets in the house, you may want to be extra careful as I think the berries are poisonous.

We had a lovely day yesterday too - mostly because we just weren't that concerned about the election. And I'm looking forward to being able to answer the phone again - we gave it up the last several days because it was ALWAYS a political recording.

Lovin' your husband's pilgrim carvings. Your candles displayed on the mirrored tray are so cute and when you added the lovely bittersweet berries it made the prettiest vignette. Check out the blog post on House of Hawthornes and see her post about cute little vintage candles made by a company called Gurley. I wonder if that is what you may have.

Not sure why we can't comment on today's post. I just wanted to say that I fully meant to stay away from writing for a while, but this morning I just opened the computer and my fingers just took off on their own.
Thanks for the reminder to eat healthy and stay healthy, that is a good thing to remember since who knows what kind of medical care we'll have in the future!

Hi There, Here from Cheryl's blog to say that I am in full agreement with you. I've been speechless all week--and also find it hard to keep on blogging those 'happy and wonderful thoughts'... I have stayed away from politics on my blog purposely--but am really devastated on the inside... I think the ones of us who feel this way should form a group where we can at least have each other and can have someone else to talk to. God Bless YOU--and God Bless our country.
Hugs,
Betsy

Thanks for your comments. And I do agree that most people want only to read "pretty" things but I'm thinking expressing our opinions once in a while is okay, too! I always enjoy your posts, I hope you continue sharing your thoughts along with the pretty photos and stories of your life in NY.

It's hard to win an honest way when you have the other side bringing people in by the bus loads to vote.

Goats don't do politics. It's probably better that way. Less butting occurs. :)
