Are you familiar with Cherry Menlove? (Yes! That is her real maiden name! :-)) She's a young married homemaker in the U.K., with twins, who is so, so, so talented. And also, so, so, so nice. She shares her life with her Readers... About moving house... writing a book... how to live with having twins... and even, her husband's bout with cancer. So, she is real, with a capital 'R'...
Her Net site is all encompassing... Her Home Page link...

A picture of her My Home Page...
A picture of her Blog Page... Yes, it can be a bit confusing, since I no longer subscribe to any Syndicated Feed Burners or the like. But you will have a lot of fun, just going to all the different "pages" and seeing what 'Life With Cherry' is like. :-)
My pomegranate dish washing liquid, with sun shining through it, giving a red shadow to the "Bounty-type" towels.... :-) Another thing I "just noticed" and took a pic of. :-) I love my camera!
Do you take a Generic Lipitor? Generic Lipitor Recall........
Got these books, years ago. When it was only a dream of mine, to be able to do some of the things stated, in them. Over time, I have brought my family along... *Kicking and screaming*, but along. Now I re-read them and am so happy.
Do you feel that Christmas is "The Christmas Machine"? Would you like to do some *unplugging*, of it? Would you like to stop wearing yourself ragged, trying to *DO* the PERFECT Christmas? Please, get your hands on these books.
We got decorations down, but this is the first I put up... My Kitchen wreath, on door into hall. Which door is WHITE, btw. Not pink, like it looks. ?????

and try to keep it all the year."

beautiful, excellent advice too!
Nope! NO Statin drug for Us! Too dangerous...We both take Niacin (over the counter). 2 caps(500mil per cap)a day. Hubby's cholesterol was 273 when he started...It's now 163! The Doctor was young and shocked at his results. Niacin was the Thing to give people BEFORE all these "designer" and deadly drugs came along...and it worked with no side affects. When the doctor tried to put ME on statins last year, I asked him WHY they didn't TELL people about Niacin?!! He said..wait for it...he'd not heard about it...WTH??? I'm a retired nurse and I DO my homework!Hahaaa...ahhh, the young!
Love the photos Auntie!

i agree. relax & have a simple Christmas. sounds great!!
hey, i have a Christmas giveaway going on at my blog ... please be sure to stop by. i think i remember you don't do giveaways but tell you friends to stop by & join in the fun... have a great week. (:
I'm not keen on any medications. It's a miracle that I take my BP medication every day. I try to use a lot of alternatives. For example, when diagnosed with a bladder infection the doctor prescribed me one pill that was supposed to knock it out, but that scared me. It had to be pretty strong. A bottle of cranberry juice did the trick.
As for Christmas, it gets simpler each year for me. I left my village out front for someone at the old place. I just don't have time anymore, or interest, in removing all the books from the bookshelf, packing them away, setting up the village, then vice verse when the holidays are over. Besides, with downsizing I don't have the room to store as much. I told my boys they can call me Scrooge if they want, but that's just the way it is.

Lovely! Thanks for the extra tips about the medication, too. Always a joy to read that this company or that is owned by this country or that and made in another country or that. I'd feel so much better if all our pharmaceuticals were made more locally.
I love the parting quote...Keeping Christmas is an all-year round activity.
thank for the recall, bob is on statins and i will ask about the nicain when we go in, but his is not on the list. we have simplified Christmas with no book needed. we stopped having it in 2005, by that i mean no gifts given or received and i put out my two 2 foot trees and that is it.
Auntie:
Thanks for leaving such a wonderful comment on my blog in return. That made my day! May I follow your wonderful blog? :)

My hubby is on generic Lipitor. Thanks for the reminder to call the drug store to see if his were recalled. Lovely post! Yes! to simplifying!!
I'm all about simple...we have been scaling back for a while now...we were drawing names...this year we decided to only buy for the babies...I mean what do we grownups really need...it's more fun to watch the kiddos...I love Christmas...but not all the commercial Christmas...
The wreath is nice and the door would have been pretty pink. :)
I like that you notice and appreciate the little things (like the pretty red on the paper towels).
Our Christmas is always a pretty calm affair. I've never been one to stress over things getting done. We don't buy many presents but I do give out baked goodies and knitted things to people around me.
I just enjoy the season.
Yes, Christmas is definitely a machine these days ... thanks for the book recommendations! We do our best to keep it simple, but even so it can be such a stressful time. So ironic when you think about it. :)
Thanks for the blog recommendation - I'm off the read her story.
BTW - Love the pomegranate dish soap shot. I decant mine into a glass bottle.
Enjoy the blessings of the season!
Leann
O, I would hope that the drug store would alert all it's customers if they are taking that drug with shards of glass. Wonder if the store do that...??....I think our drug store would.
Now, must go read about the blog you tell us about...Oh, and I see you caught the beautiful Blue Hour in your shot of your kitchen. So pretty.
You have the right idea about leaving the stress and hustle a bustle out of Christmas....Frank and I finally made some changes when he got sick and our income went down...and guess what ...no one died or even cried...we still love each other. That is what it is all about. I as a christian focus on Christ...and I enjoy the lights and try to smile and be kind to everyone I meet. I do like the way you see...and isn't it great to be in a day and age you can share what you see. ♥
I am so with you on the hustle and bustle this time of year. It is not everyone else's birthday it is Jesus's. And thanks for the info on the lipitor - I use crestor.
Love, sandie
