Dressing for Winter... 2 different ways...!

This is the kind of a hat, which I'm wearing now, in deep Winter.  Those kinda'-ear-flaps keep even my ears warm!  ,-)  ~~~~~~~~~~~~   But when you are YOUNG, and going to an informal school dance.............
You ("Grand" and her friends) wear SHORTS and funky decorated tops...  To the NEON (Neon) Dance!!!

With my Family Rules, about not showing recognizable photos of "Grands," on my blog...  I had them pose for regular pics.  And then, DANCE!!!!!!!  So I would have pics, which were blurry.  Not clear and recognizable.  To post on the World Wide Net.  :-)
-grin-  Sometimes my camera's inability to take ACTION shots, pays off!
We haven't had dessert here, in so long...  That I finally *broke down* and made a tiny Apple Crisp.  I should have put some other kitchen item, beside that Crisp, so you could see....  That it only held 2 servings.  This way, we ate it, all at one sitting.  Which works better for us.
-gasp-  I even used a bit of real butter, in the Crisp part!  If a recipe calls for butter, the taste can not be fully replicated, using anything else.  (sad but true)  And had it with a bit of ice cream!  -double gasp-  :-)
And before I go, I leave you with a pic of me, IN the hat.  -grin-  These hats are not made for 'Olden Aunties.'  But if it's Winter, one has to dress for Winter.  "Auntie" sezzzzzz...!  ,-)

"January is here, with eyes that keenly glow,
A frost-mailed warrior
striding a shadowy steed of snow."
~Edgar Fawcett

OH!  Isn't that a wonderful quote, for Winter!?!?!?!?   Delicious word picture.  Strong and almost a bit spooky.  I love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Since you are wearing it in a sensible way, tied under your chin, I think it works very well for you. I have yet to see anyone wear it that way...they all leave the flaps hanging down. How about there?

Yes, lovely shots of legs. =D

I have decided only to bake when guests are coming. That way I send all the leftovers home with them. Seems to work pretty well.

haha all the matters is the head stays warm, but for those dances they sure aren't the norm.

Hi, Auntie!!! I am blogging just a bit today and I am so happy that I did...I just love seeing you in "hat" pics!!! My hubby said that you are very photogenic...he really liked you in your "witch" hat :) BTW...he also thinks that Uncle "A" is very talented with the wooden toys that he makes.

That apple crisp looks delicious!!! YUMMMMMM!!!

You look a heck of a lot better in your hat than I do in any of mine. I hate that the only warm hats that are sold are for the tween & teen set. I refuse to look like Elmer Fudd or like I have a moose on my head. I keep telling my self I need to get in gear and make myself some warm yet attractive and flattering.
But as of yet - have not done it.

Hugs,
Penny
