Happy Valentine's Day!!!

Well, Valentine's Day is finally here!  And would you believe, I have a different Val-themed-pic to show.  -grin-  A shadows and Valentines pic.  (Ahemmm, and the blind over the sink, needs to be wiped off...)  ,-)

Obviously, my theme today, is Light and Shadow...
When you write your blog entry, is everything set to Centered?  Or to Left?  Or to Right?
Are you all ready to change your Background and Blog Look???   Now that the big Valentine Themed Holiday, is over?   I know!  If you are a busy gal, this blog-look-change is not at the top of your list.  But when one is an "olden gal", with more time, it can be *Important.*  :-)))))))))     But, what will it be??????
First, I need a new photo of mine, to be a new Header Pic.  ~~~~~~~~~~   Then I need to try to draw-water-color, a new Background.  But then, comes the problem of taking a pic of it, and having the background show up NICE and WHITE.    ~~~~~~~~~~     Yes, I wrote an email to Susan B., asking her, how it is done?  Hope she has time, to advise me.  :-)

In my blog, a Dear Reader commented that it's getting hard to come up with nice blogging ideas...  Since she doesn't do crafts everyday, or go to interesting places daily. And she no longer belongs to clubs.  So I commented back...

MY DEAR, I don't do ANY crafts.  A lot of days, I don't even get out of the house.  And I don't belong to "anything."  But yet, as you have discovered, I blog-like-a-bit-of-a-maniac.  -gigggles-

To me, blogging is simply About Life.  My Life happens to be lived mostly at home, and so that's what  I blog about.

And THAT is what I want to read, when I visit other blogs in Pretty Blog Land!!!  I want the reading of a blog, to seem like coming into your home, sitting down across your table from you, and then we have a chat.  THAT is blogging, in "Pretty Blog Land", to me.

So please, never feel you have to "do" something, to have something to blog about.  I love blogging, which is just about living.  Bits and pieces of our living.  Not allllll of it.  Not a Dear Diary thing.

But just this and that, this and that... Happenings, "wonderings", books read, hopes, irritations at times too....  Etc.

My (long and drawn out) message is?  That bloggers tend to worry too much, about what-to-blog.  Worry that it has to be fancy, or sparkly, or brilliant, or exciting, or....  Life isn't all those things, every day.

I love life, every day, blogged about.  How about you????

"Auntie"

What-cha'-think???
Do SOME bloggers worry too much, about "what to blog about"?
What-cha'-think???

I can say this: I am often very relieved when a blogging buddy returns home from a trip as I prefer the "from home" blogging to the "on the road" blogging. I must be a nut...like you! =D

Have a happy day styling for the "next thing." I have my new header ready, but now I'm rethinking it.

First of all, Happy Valentine's Day Auntie. Secondly, I wholeheartedly agree that we shouldn't feel like ewe have to do anything in particular in blog land. Our blogs are a piece of our world to be shared. Blogs are like fingerprints - no two are the same :)

Yeah I'm just a crazy loon that stays in and blogs about whatever I feel like it. Some days it's a rant, somedays just nonesense. If you enjoy it and have fun with it, chances are most others will too. Stressing over it never brings good results.

Exactly the same sentiment felt here in my little corner of Blogland. That is why I named my Blog "Palaver from Pellie & Genghis Khat". Palaver meaning idle chatter. I didn't want to be an art blog, a craft blog, or a cat blog but a bit of everything that makes up me. I may get less visitors this way but the ones who do come are like family.

Happy Valentines Day. I hope your day is Happy and filled with lots of love.

Hugs,
Penny

I love blogs that don't necessarily have a theme and give us a glimpse into the bloggers life whether they be stay-at-homes or gadabouts. I do love to read about photography, traveling, recipes, pets, etc., but it's more interesting to me when the blogger mixes in tidbits about what's going on in their world.
Happy Valentine's Day to you and Uncle!!

I like to read all kinds of blogs, the every day ones are really nice because you feel like you know a person. And the niches are nice too, especially if you're able to learn a thing or two. :)

I just came over to wish you a Happy Valentine's Day.

I do believe there are bloggers who worry too much about what to blog about. This month I am not blogging as much as last month, because I don't want to, not because I ran out of things to blog of.:-)

I am a homebody. No trips or big adventures. J and I have decided to venture out for a late lunch today...Valentine's Day. I may or may not blog about it, but the subject will be there, if I get the urge to blog about it...depending on whether I have 1 or 2 glasses of wine with lunch.

Some of my posts are hits and others are misses. I don't let that determine what I blog about though.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Changed my background today...grrrr...What A Job it was too! I tried 20 times to get the template to stay on the one I clicked on and it would Not Save! Don't know how I finally got it to stay, but It'll be a while before I change Again!

I just blog about whatever hits me. Sometimes I think about it and sometimes it just happens. You can't please all the people all the time :) I'm happy doing what I do. And I enjoy our blog the way you do it.
We don't celebrate Valentines day in our house, it was never a big thing when I was growing up. I think the kids go in for it more these days. And of course the shops really try to push it hard - more money!

Anyway Auntie, have a good day whatever you are doing.

beautiful photos today.. love the cheery color red... waiting to see what you paint. try shining a lamp on your page and dont use flash. then use flash. also put the light to the side and try. move the camera to all 4 corners of the earth and snap, sometimes moving it makes it come out better.

I do each of my blogs differently and then not always the same.

Don't have to change my blog look because didn't change it for Valentine's Day. : )

I DO think some people worry too much about their blog content. I enjoy reading about everyday the stuff they do.

It's not what does or doesn't happen to you or what you do or don't do, it's how you tell the story of your day to day life ... even the most mundane things, well told, are the stuff of fairy tales.

Hope you've had a lovely Valentine's Day :D

I just blog about me and mine. Our life. What we do, eat, say, enjoy. The topic is the journal of our day.
You always have an interesting post because YOU are such an interesting person. We want to hear what you have to say!
