My first attempt to substitute ingredients in G/F Muffins, using honey, etc. EPIC FAIL!!! LOL! And I am showing it, to you! Never say that "Auntie" is not a "Good Sport"! lol!
I knew they looked too runny, going in. But I baked 'em anyway. They made *delightful* little bubbling "volcanoes", in the process, and got on bottom of my stove. -Oh bother-
I brought my daughter-in-law and the 2 youngest "grands" in, to see them. I told the 8 year old, that they would have made great *volcanoes*, to take to school.
(Clematis)
This fail made me pout, yes. But did not deter me from wanting to try again! See, while taking Prednisone, I am full of go-go-go and Joie de vie. It's super. I'm always ready to do most anything. Unlike my usual, rather sluggy-self. Who has to work-myself-up to do stuff.
Only a few more days, of the meds though. -pout-
Tried Juicing beets, for the first time. And it worked. We did peel them.
And look at the gorgeous Juice Drink we got!!!
Someone asked if you get all the good stuff, from Juicing? Like, when you chew up lots of veggies/fruits. Yes! All that gets discarded (by the machine) are hard parts, like seeds and tough skins, etc.
And..... You get all the good stuff, in its natural state of the foods. No need to cook and lose nutrients.
(All grass fed, flank steak. Which was marinated and broiled on the BBQ. Delicious. We had a lot and brought some next door. :-))
And I refuse to say, that Juicing is hard-to-clean! -grin- Because it isn't. With our machine, anyway. (by Jack LaLane it happens to be)
Like I said, I juice... Put ice cubes in the drinks... Clean residue off the Juicer parts.... Have Juice... Wash Juicer parts in soapy water... Drain on a towel.
NO!!!!!! I am not trying to convince everyone to Juice! We are simply having fun with ours. And feel it is a good thing. And since this is my blog, I put this, in my blog.

Beets make for a pretty drink. Now, Auntie, nothing ever need be an epic fail. I'm thinking those look like individual servings of little pies or something...perhaps filled with a custard or some fruit or something and topped with a bit of whipped cream or whatever you may eat as a substitute.
Didn't fail, just learned a way that didn't work. And yep your blog put what you like
Juicing is all the rage right now. A lot of movie stars are doing it..:))
My problem is that a glass of juice for a MEAL just doesn't work. I find myself too hungry and snack too much.
I must train myself and my tummy, I guess. :))
OOO, and NO, i didn't REALLY get sick..just making a joke of taking one cookie out of each batch out of the oven.
and, Auntie, I've been eating raw dough all my life...my daddy even used to make eggnog using a dozen eggs...my mama said the whiskey "cooked" the eggs enuf that it wasn't dangerous..hahhaa...
I DO think the eggs we used "back then" were fresher.
that drink looks seriously good!
Goodness! Don't think I've ever seen a recipe Do that!
Happy weekend Auntie!

the beets sure made it look good, that is one of my favorite colors. i love beets. did you taste any of the volcano? mother used to make cakes that fell and fudge that needed a spoon and we ate it anyway, it tasted good although it did not look good. just wondering.
I'm glad your loving juicing...maybe next time they will turn out better...
Auntie, I probably would have cried...I hate getting stuff off my oven. Your clematis is so pretty. Sounds like you are enjoying making those fancy drinks. I like beets so I would like that drink. xoxo,Susie
You've got me hungry with all this good food. Waiting to go home to eat dinner. I love fresh beet juice. Talk about messes. When I was in cooking class in high school, we made cookies and I forgot the flower. It was one big gooey mess on the cookie sheet.

I love beets but never cook them since I'd be the only one to eat them. Hmmm, maybe I need to think about juicing. But then, I'd have to find a place for the juicer and I don't have any more room for stuff!
Have a happy weekend!
Do you ever get teased about getting juiced all the time ? LOL All my baking looks like your epic fail...seriously it does.
Juicing is good but I like to CHEW!!! Drinking - I drink a LOT!! Tea,coffee, water and in the evening wine. For FOOD I need to CHEW!! But that's just me!
I have a professional juicer - in the storage building. We have loaned it out several times to people who are in a health crunch when they need to juice instead of eat. We may use it ourselves one day.
The important thing is to be healthy and if juicing is the way to do it - AMEN!
Sorry your meds will wear out soon. So will my Celebrex! It would be GREAT to feel this good always!
