Just a pretty old home, which we go by, on our way to grocery shopping. I've shown this home before, when it just had its pansies out front. Now the (pink) perennials and the (green) tree leaves, add to the charm.

A local college held graduation, this past Sat. Looks like someone here, had a son or daughter graduating, and they held a big party. This street is a couple of blocks over from our house, and the music could be heard, by us. ,-) Well, the drumbeats could be heard anyway. ,-)

We went by, Sunday morning. All the tents had not been removed as yet.
♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
I spied disco lights, still shining... ,-)
♥
In summer, these tents get used a lot. When people have the money, I guess this is how they *party.* ,-)
♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
But the (Summer of '12) Party is just beginning... In other places... :-)

I love, love, love how the owners of this old downtown (just off of Broadway) building, always hang flowers, off the fire escapes! For all passer's-by to enjoy! It's one of those things which kind-of says: "Summer Is Here," in our dear old city.
♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
And after showing all-that-fancy-stuff, here is just a pretty bunch of poppies, in the side yard of a regular sized house. :-))))))))))) After all, we aren't ALL RICH...! -gigggles-
♥
But it is FUN to look at the FANCY places. ,-)

I love those big old colorful houses. They are so pretty.
The flowers on the fire escape are beautiful. Goes to show you, you can have a some kind of a garden where ever you live.
Wow that must have been some party. I guess keeping people out in tents saves wear and tear on the house.
That fire escape is something else and just figuring quickly would cost between five hundred and a thousand dollars. Wonder if they have to water all of those...
You live in a wonderful city. Very charming indeed.
What a wonderful town. Love that old building with the plants on the fire escape, but here it is against the law to put anything out on them.
Mary

We call the big pretty colored houses 'Painted Ladies.' Is that what they are called there?

I loved these photos of some the wonderful old homes in your town. Where do you live??? These are wonderful.
The flowers on the fire escapes is just wonderful. You know, the poppies, plain to some, are just delightful to me.
I love the pictures of your city. The flowers on the fire escape are especially lovely.
They just don't build houses with character like they use to.
Gorgeous houses - but the fire escapes are even more beautiful, I think. AND the poppies.
Thanks for sharing those fancy houses, I love looking at them also.
You have inspired me to show off our closest city. But I will wait until all the flowers are ready.
I love looking at the big and beautiful homes, too. You live in a very charming city! The fire escape decorated with the lovely hanging baskets is fabulous! I hope you'll show us more of your city.
Your town looks so amazing! I would love to live there and walk the streets and look at the firescapes covered in flowers and the downtown buildings.
And the poppies :)
Blessings,
karianne
The house reminds me of the Victorian homes in Cape May, NJ, but it doesn't have nearly the amount of gingerbread trim; nevertheless, it's lovely.
We take an annual trip there in the summer.
