Misty morn here, on Thursday. This is looking to the south...
And misty morn, looking to the west, also...
And look who is up and looking at me, this morning! "BK" :-) Last week, she had her nails removed, and wasn't so perky. But she certainly looks perky today. Right up there, in old "Lucky's" (older cat) perch, again. Tsk, tsk, tsk...
Well, at least now, they can duke-it-out, on an even-playing-field. She had nails before, and he does not. Now they are both fully in-door kitties.

Another pretty house... A BIG one this time, Babe!!! -grin-
And another old house..... Love the *gingerbread* trim. And the colors... Gray, pink, white... Yummmmmmmmm... :-)
This one, is very different. It opens right out onto an Alley. Because it's an old carriage house, which has been made over, to be a home... The big old homes are in the front of the lot. And the carriage houses are in the back of the lot.
Such carriages houses are prized, in town! To be purchased and made over into a dwelling place. Keeping as much of the original decor, as possible. I doubt if there are any left, which have not been purchased and redone.
Isn't that charming? Kind of like "Old Town" in places like Marblehead Mass. Where the doors/windows of the very old homes, open right onto the street/road. :-)

I didn't finish the book. I'm just not-that-into 'Domestic Diva' books. But the cover is so, so, so, so, so, so cool for Halloween!!!! ,-) Btw, don't know what the main color of the book cover looks like, on your computer, but on the real book, it is ORANGE!!! :-)
And in case you are wondering, YES, the first part(s) of getting-a-hearing-aid went well. The Ear Doc did a thorough examination! All fine. The very-nice Audiologist, in his office, did her noises/sounds/etc. testing, with me in the little booth. -gigggles-
She explained her findings... Will send them, to the Hearing Aid place of our choice. Which will then contact me, to set up an appointment, for me to come in. And for them to fill the Audiologist's Rx, etc., etc., etc. Just like with the "Chuck It" Cleaning Out, it was sooooooooooooo wonderful, to have done that!!!!!! I am officially on-my-way. Again...
"Again" because about 30 years ago, I had aids. With luck, they have improved, in 30 years. Of course they have!
But I fully know that hearing aids are not purrrrrrrfect. They are NOT like putting on glasses, which have been made to your Rx, for your eyes. So that you can see wonderfully again!!! NOT SO with putting in hearing aids. They are not purrrrrrfect and one must KNOW / ACCEPT this reality. :-) I do.
:-) And I close out today, with a picture of Ryan Monroe, 'rockin'-out' with "Band of Horses," on summer tour... :-)))))

The book jacket cover is reading red-orange here. A book with recipes and hostessing tips...hmmm... Not surprised that you ditched it. Ha!
Yay for being on the road again to hearing better. I'm sure that it's a challenge. You seem to know all the arguments having been down this way before.
Lovely mansion there...with the columns...whatever has you thinking Greek columns on a day like today? LOL! Carriage houses that opened directly onto the street or path would not be my idea of a good living situation. Have you ever had the tour of the inside? I love taking home tours. Love, love, love it.
I really like the old homes in your city, and you do such a nice job photographing their highlights. Thanks to Uncle A...I'm sure!! Good luck with the next step hearing what everybody is gossiping about. (((grin...smirk))))
I so enjoy seeing all these beautiful olden houses...just can't imagine the blessing of living in such pretty ones.
Carriage houses are so magical...they conjure up so many pictures in my mind.
I would love to tour these houses and their carriage houses on the street.:)
I just love your pictures and thanks for sharing a bit of BK with us. I love kitties. I just bought a book of short stories about Halloween for my Kindle. I am so looking forward to the holiday this year in my new home.

Good luck on the hearing aids, my friend! Sending positive vibes to those who assess and make them to do a superior job for you!

I am excited for you to be getting your hearing aid...nice thing about hearing aides is you can tune people in and out at will.:) Love all the houses you show us...you live in a beautiful area.
Beautiful homes, as always...I may have to take some pictures of the nifty old places here in town before we get moved out to the country again. I can't wait!
Fingers crossed that your new hearing aids will be much much better than the last ones you had.
Very lovely pic of those great homes...and I love the cat in the window pic.
Awww that kitty looks so darling in the window:-) My mom was going to have her cat declawed since he's an inside cat but she decided against it when she heard how painful it is for them.
More gorgeous houses and oh how I love that carriage house...and how neat that the door opens right on the street! Can't even imagine the cost of those types of houses!!! I really need to win the lottery soon. lol
Good to hear that your appt with the ear doctor went well. I do hope that the hearing aids you get fitted with will work wonders for you. A lot has definitely changed in the last 30 years!!
Goodnight my sweet friend:-) xoxo
