A bit of snow, and lots of decorations... :-) ADDITION...

"The snow that began in the evening, and steadily a little bit all the night, was......."  Just a dusting, in the morning.  But it has stuck, so far.  Sun will melt it.  Kind of too bad, because our annual Victorian Street Walk is held tonight, down street.  A little bit of snow, would add to the Old Fashioned Victorian Ambiance.
As you can see, we got some more decorations up.   But with taking down things, which had been out, all during the past Season, and taking packed-away-things out...  Quite a bit of dust was stirred up.  Not enough to bother most people.  But enough to get-me-going again.   Bleahhhhh...   I should have remembered to put on my *trusty* face mask.  Should have...   ~~~~~~  So it's back to taking all the meds and inhaler thing and etc.   I never want to let bronchial troubles, get a hold!!!!
Well, we ended up not having many tv scheduling conflicts last evening, after all.  :-)  He did get to see some of his first Brit car show.  But then, daughter and son-in-law came over to do needed things, in his work shop...  Wood-things....  And he was out there, helping them.  So, after all his time, getting the old front tv to work,  we didn't have to use it.   ~~~~~~~~~   But!  It is usable again!  As it should be.  Since we are still paying for cable, for it.
Today/Thurs. we have projects on our list.  Hope we get them crossed off our list!  Some things, just can't wait any longer.  Like covering the old truck, which is *wintering* beside the house, between the house and the row of pine trees.  It's all set, with a permanent pad to sit on.  But needs its cover.  And that is a 2 man job.  A man and a woman job.  :-)
And I am out of Jordan Almonds!  Which is a *disaster*!  I can have a couple of them, after eating, and it makes me satisfied.  That funny urge a lot of humans get, to finish off a meal, with *Something Sweet.*
One of the fun (but silly) things about getting decorations out, is finding random sparkles, here and there.  There is one on the Hearth Room rug, which probably came from the sparkly Autumn wreath which we took down.  Because of its (the sparkle's) Autumn color.  There are some on the floor in the bathroom, which catch the light, when you're looking at them, just right.   Just kind of like diamonds.
Yes, silly!  But one can never have too many sources of sparkle!  "Auntie" sezzzzzz...   :-)
Above is the only way I have managed to use Faerie Lights in a container...  This time, with Christmas balls.   Some people make sweet ambiance lights, by stuffing Faerie Lights down into an old wine bottle.  But I never made that work.
But love the effect of what I did, above.  And I simply put bowl and lights into a bag and it's all ready to go again, the next Christmas.  Which is  a good thing,  because it's not easy (for me anyway) to get the lights/balls randomly stuffed in the bowl.  ,-))))

"There's a dear old tree, an evergreen tree,
And it blossoms once a year.
'Tis loaded with fruit from top to root,
And it brings to all good cheer."

ADDITION:

How can we just keep *Jingling Our Bells*???

Just read some "politics," and it took the *wind* out of my Holiday sails.  :-(   And of course, this is what "they" bank on...  That holidays are the time to push through, whatever "they" want.  Because people are so tired of paying attention to What's Really Going On in Our Beloved Country.

So "they"...

Keep on campaigning.

Keep on blaming *the others.*

Know the Country is tired, tired, tired of all of it.

I absolutely love Jordan almonds. My favorites. Took off work today with a cold and am going to head to the store for some of that cold medicine they say is for people with high blood pressure. Now, I will be looking for Jordan almonds as well.

The first snow of the year, even if it's just a dusting, is always such a wonderful thing. I think I might dedicate one of my upcoming blog posts to the wonders of snow.

We are in trouble until a few more of us wake up. This was a very close call and it won't take that many more to tip it. (We are just disappointed when we thought the tipping point had already been reached.) We celebrate Christmas because we need Christmas, not just in December, all year long. Hang on, Auntie, this could be a bumpy ride! That's what we keep telling ourselves. I could write more, but should shut up now being as I'm in your blog. =D

....and I just adore all your beautiful decorations. You must have a very beautiful home. The little glimpses I get, here and there, tells me it's a very pretty place.

And...I love Jordan Almonds to the moon and back.

Your decorations are all so pretty. I really like the stained glass Nativity scene.
A light dusting of snow is so pretty and does add the the season. There was a dusting here up at Happy Trails today too but all gone now.

I am loving your fairie light bowl. It looks real sparkly. Another part of your decor that just keeps catching my eye is that red glass-shade lamp that you have. I love red and glass lamp shades and to see it combined is perfect to me. Is your red glass shade lamp an antique? It is definitely starting to look like Christmas in your home.

I love that fairy light bowl. I have one of the bottle lights made by a mutual friend of ours - Linda's Life Journal which I love.
Had to laugh @BJ's comment.
Y'alls friend has the same sentiment that plenty of Americans have but I know there is obviously plenty of folks that don't. Maybe they'll wake up and see the truth.
