"Look Changes"~~~City~~~Repairs~~~Etc.

(Urns, in the Park...)

As you can see, I did "Blog Look Work"!  :-)  I didn't intend to do all this.  But I messed up, some how...  And had to "fix" many things...

(Interesting tree roots, in the Park...)

So I figured, as long as I got started, I might as well continue.

(Ballet Slipper, in front of Drink Hall)

This summer, our city has quite a few of these Ballet Slipper sculptures, here and there...  This one, is on the lawn, in front of the old Drink Hall.  (The drinking referred to, is that of various Mineral Waters, of the area.)  :-)

(Closer look at Ballet Slipper, in front of Drink Hall)

And here is a cropped look, at it.  Needless to say, you'll be seeing more pics of these...  :-)

In summer, we have wildly painted Horse sculptures, here and there.  And this year, the addition of the Ballet Slipper sculptures.

This year is the Celebration of 150 Years of Thoroughbred Racing, in this city.  Lots of special events are planned.

We've been unable to get a local channel, on our tv.  So we called, and they tried to fix it, by whatever "magic" they use.  This time, it didn't work.  So they sent a repair man over, this morning.

Not only do we have our local channel back....  He fixed old cable, inside and outside.  He showed us the way squirrels had chewed on the outside cable.  Yikes!  And this messes with reception.

And really, we could see clearer colors on the TV!   We have the phone, tv and Internet connection Package.  He said my computer, may work faster also.

Did anyone ever think to request that their outside cable connection wires be checked, for stuff like squirrels chewing on them?

I love the new look. In my old neighborhood we always had problems with the cable because a family of squirrels always used to loosen up the cable wires.

Well why must they make them so tasty for the squirrels? =D

I have no idea what you really did here, but it does look very neat and tidy and your background looks seamless, and your pictures of the ballet slipper are delightful. What a nifty concept. Should be a fun and pleasant summer with all the special events that such an anniversary will bring. (Our area is well known also for mineral springs.)

The squirrels, though cute, are such pests! We recently got Dish because our local cable company quit providing service to our town. They took down the cable wire that ran to our house where many of my pretty birds liked to sit. (Pout)

Pretty photos and new blog look!!

That's EXACTLY why Louis Dean is a Mr. McGregor when when it comes to squirrels!!!

Mr. Sweet has a section of the back yard where he does welding and etc...and has lots of lines and cables. The squirrels have chewed them several times. So far, they have left the tv cables alone.
Sure glad you got yours fixed.....
We have tried everything in the world to get rid of these little pests but with pecan trees everywhere, it's a hard job...:)

I shake my head and wonder why the squirrel was even allowed on the ark!!

If I had that tree in my yard the whole base of it would be a fairy village:)
Yes ~ those squirrels can be little pest. The pine squirrels got into my car once and ate out the air conditioning to the tune of $428 worth of damage.
