Tiki Torches...!!! ,-) Etc. Etc. Etc.

ATTENTION CLASS:

My Click-able Links will now be in

THIS COLOR...

Please and Thank You.

(Sun., still working on Work Bench...)

Today/Tues. is my day, to go to the Allergist.  The doctor's pamphlet says, that on the first visit, there will be Pulmonary Testing and Skin Testing.

(Middle Grand-Son and Dad...)

This (allergy testing) is totally new to me.  I did not grow up with allergies.  Developed them, as I am getting older.

(As far as they got, on Sun.  It's in Son's garage, but pegboard still to be gotten, when it's not raining...)

Finally have to admit to myself, that I have Allergies.  -pout-  Do any Dear Readers, have experience with being tested for Allergies??????

Son next door, put Tiki Torches up, on Sat.  But forgot lighter fluid.  Which we went out and got, Sun. morning.  Then came the Sun. rains.....

But after 7pm, it was still cloudy but no rain...  So they lit them.  And we came over to experience the First Tiki Torch Lighting Experience.  -grin-

Guess my Son was still chewing on something, when he came out...  -grin-

You can see 2 of their lovely gardens.  One more, is to the right, out of the line of this picture.

Oh and, "Uncle A." didn't get bit, last evening, but I did.  While out there, in the humid evening.  A nasty bite, on a finger.  It hurt and was itchy and I had to keep putting Anti-Itch-Bite Cream on it.  -pout-  Why me?????   Why do all flying, biting insects zero in on ME????

And this is just a bird-in-flight, to the left...  And sunlight on a plane, way up in the sky.

There be weirdness around........ I have told you!

Oh I'd love that (pale pink hair)!!!  But one would have to Helen Mirren's money, to have a beautician do the perfect dye job.

I was considering the use of Kool-Aid.  But reading up on that (use of Kool-Aid), one must try to not get it on the scalp.   My hair has gotten thinly spaced on my ol' head, with age.  -chuckle-   So it would be nigh-on-to-impossible, to not have it SHOWING on my scalp, in places.  -chuckle-
A cold start to the week...

Shocking photo, above...  Yes???  Dessert!  Purchased from a Bakery!  Here!  Eeeeeek!  Yes, I did "allow" us one-piece-each, on Sunday.  Mine being the G/F Almond Finger, and his being the very decadent Brownie.  And ya'-know-what?  Mine wasn't worth it.  Not the exorbitant price.  And not the taste/fun, either.  Bahhhh-humbug...  This has happened before.  I asked "Uncle A." to REMIND me of this happening...  Before.....   The next time I get this same idea...

Another part of the Weird Sunday...  "Uncle A." and our Daughter, were doing some kind of wood working in the garage...  Cutting a piece of wood, which will be part of our Son-in-law's iron work wine rack business...  The piece of wood was so long, that to cut it, they had to open the garage door!!!   In came the wind chill.   Soon as they were   done with that part, they closed the garage door again, turned up the garage heat, and came in to "thaw out their hands"!!!

I suggested they turn on the fireplace and sit by it.  Which they did.  Looking like people, from another century, kind-of.  :-)  (Huddled around a fireplace to get warm...)

Meanwhile, Son-in-law and "Granddaughter" were in his shop, doing another part of the work.  But they did it, INSIDE!  So Lisa and her Dad have "We had it harder" bragging rights!  ,-)

And of course, it made a Surprise Photo Op, for me!!!!!!!!!!!!

I spent the time, inside, in my comfy chair, reading....  So I noticed the gorgeous PINK sunset effect!

Naturally, I had to run in the den and get my camera!  Never pass up a beautiful Photo Op!!!

Btw, "weirdness" is accumulating, even today/Mon.  I had "it" on Sun.  Later on Sun., "it" hit "Uncle A." computer.   Now this morning, I just hit-some-key and lost everything.  Got it back, but don't know what-I-did...  Ya' know...  Those experiences with a computer.

I am warning you!!!!!!!   There are some silly vibes around!!!  Be on guard!!!

Sunday..... Cold....

I wouldn't want to be without power, this morning...  -sigh-

Another pic, of a "little hand"...

the winds are wild, they chill and bite.
The ground is thick with slush and sleet,
And I can barely feel my feet."  ~Anon

-chuckle-  Just looked back on a post of mine, from Feb. 24, 2011.  And I was in the mood to let my hair grow.  Funny, because I have gotten into the same mood, lately.  But didn't remember that 2 years ago, I had this wish....   Ahhhhhhh, we humans are so cyclical.  :-)

(Concentration...)

Finished another book.  A book of my own, this time...  "Lucia Triumphant" by Tom Holt...  One of the 2 books written by Holt, continuing the spirit of Benson's Lucia books.   I have more info about it, on "Auntie's Reads" blog...    :-)

"It is a delicious moment, certainly, ..." :-)

THANK  YOU!!!   To my Dear Readers who were so encouraging in comments, on my blog entry of yesterday.  Thank you for being so sweet to me.  Many thanks...  Many hugs...  :-)

These 5 photos were taken at 5PM, on Mon.

Yes, this above, is all I get for a Sunset.  -sigh-

The days are getting longer.  I've been noticing....

As you can tell, I was having fun, with my tiny bit of Sunset!  ,-)

Just look at the beauty of bare tree branches, in Winter!!!!!!!!!!!   I love it!

OK, OK...  I know....   Too much "Playing" with this silly Sunset photo.  ;-))))))))))

Look what's here?!? February!!! :-)

"Sprinkle liberally with Powdered Sugar..."  :-)  ♥    Yesterday began with almost spring-like conditions.   But temps fell during the day, and lots and lots of winds came along, too.
This is a pretty good size chunk of slate, which was blown onto the ice on the top of the pool cover.
But the sun shone through the prism, on one of the Den windows...
Not so nice, was wind damage.  Our power kept going out and coming back and going out and coming back.  Since it was random, I simply left my computer off...   No need to risk damage, with "Brown Outs."    :-(     ♥         So that made for an interesting rest of the day.  I kept at my laundry, which has *magically* "grown-like-Topsie" again.  Hehhhhhhh........  And I read and read and read in "Women Who Run With The Wolves."  Not easy reading.  Not like a cute little cozy mystery.  It's kind of WORK.   And I've tried to read it before.  But this time, I'm getting through the whole thing!!!  :-)
And now, we are in February.  The Wheel Of The Year is turning.  And thoughts go to Valentine's Day.    ♥     Not to Celebrating it.  Since I can't have Chocolates.  And real flowers, though lovely, cause me to sneeze and fill up.  -Blahhhhhhh-    ♥        But I do put up some Valentine decorations.  Why not?  I love, love, love, love, love any excuse for RED and for SPARKLES.  :-)))

'Twelfth Night' day...

I hope that you had a lovely

It was a sunny day, in my neck of the woods.  It got warmer, and the icicles are gone. Which is a bit sad...

We got out to the library, and did grocery shopping.  But then, when we get home, the chore of putting everything away, stares us in the face.  Ugh...  This above, is not EVERYTHING, of course.  And since these things are in cans, etc., they can go right into the pantry.  But items in boxes/bags will have to be put into secure containers or plastic boxes.  I so do not love this put-away-chore.

But be glad we can go and buy food!  I know!

See the little red Crock Pot, in the background?  Even before we went out, "Uncle A." assembled the chicken thighs in cream of mushroom soup, with no lactose milk.  And it cooks all day.  For dinner, he just has to do some rice and a green veggie.  LOVE Crock Pot meals!!!

Noticed the sun making pretty sparkles and shadows, on the snow.  But didn't get my camera quickly enough.  -sigh-  By the time I got it, the sun had gone down behind the trees/houses, which keep us from seeing sunset.

But I took a couple of pics, anyway...

While the afternoon sun was still streaming in, through a kitchen window, I got a couple of light and shadow pics.  Another example of "Because I Could" pics.  :-)

Gracious but that does NOT look like the color of my kitchen walls!!!!  Yikes!!!  With the sun, it looks positively *upchuck* color!  EEEEEEEEEKKKK!  LOL.

But the kitchen wreath, on the door to the front hall, looks very pretty!!!  Happily!

Though the sun had left the back yard, it was still visible.  So I tried to get a photo of the sun shining directly at me, with the patio door open...  It's not quite as good a capture of sun/at/camera, as sometimes.  But it was worth taking, for the clouds in the sky, even.  :-)

Did someone mention "DULLLLLLLLL"? ,-)

At The Top:

Thank you for enjoying my precious Dragon, yesterday.

About Gladys Taber's 'Cranberry Island Stew" Click here--->(in this post...) I'm sorry but I never found the recipe.

A sponge!  Eeeeeek!  A photo of a kitchen sponge!!!  Things are getting tough, in Pretty Blog Land.  For me anyway.  When my first pic/talk is of my kitchen sponge.  -sigh-

Well ok, such is life.  These are the dull months of the year, ya' know.  So that means, that it can even get *worse*, before it gets better!  Although don't know how much worse it can get, than blogging about my new kitchen sponge.

I put my kitchen sponge in dishwasher and nuke them in the microwave too.  But this pretty new pink one I got (when all that dish washing and nuking, had-killed-off my old sponge), can't be nuked because it has a soft-scrub side.   Sooooooooooo...  Now what?

I run it through the dishwasher with the dishes, and then I boil it.

(If you look closely, can you see the steam rising off of it, after boiling?)

Not a long boil.  Just long enough to make sure it is sterile.  The little pan I use for this, is not dirty, from just doing that.  So I dry it/pan, and put it away again.

Sooooooooooooooooooo...  How do you Dear Reader, deal with cleaning your kitchen sponge, if you use one?
Another awful picture of the moon, early in the morning.  -chuckle-  You'd think I'd be ashamed to publish such a grainy pic.  You'd think!  But remember, I'm *scratching* for posting topics.  So even a grainy moon shot, will do.   -grin-
How about a grainy moon-and-icicles shot?
Another????

I know, you are ready to *revolt*!  I don't blame you.  Perhaps I should go away until I can come up with something, a LITTLE  MORE  worthy of your reading time.  -grin-
