This is "Bad Kitty," "BK", "Lucy", up close and personal. She who you have seen in my blog before. But across the lawn, sitting in the window of the back porch, next door.
Being a kitten, she didn't stay still long enough for me to get good pics. But she is nearly still, in this one. Very friendly and cute. But I can't pet either cat much... Or it will mess with my allergies big-time. -Blahhhhhhh-
"Hugo" Charming...! If you haven't seen this DVD, I suggest you do. :-)
I read the book, on which it is based, and wanted to see it, in a theater. Then didn't... But our library system has it, and I got it and we watched it last evening. As I said... It is charming...!

Something from an Oct. post, from some year in the past...
I really have to get going around and taking pics of local houses, decked out for both Autumn and Halloween. I see them, and either I don't have my camera or.... There is too much traffic to stop in the road. Ahhhhh yes! 'Tis another time of the year, when "Uncle A." has to put up with; "Can you stop?!? Beautiful flowers there in front of that house!!!" -chuckle-
The iron fence in front of this old house, is said to have a hot-spot on it... Spooooooky... ,-)))) I love, love, love old stories about old places. Love 'em. But not everyone wants to read them. So if I copy/and/paste the entry about this fence, from an old blog of mine, I'll put it at the bottom. Then Dear Readers know that it might be longer, than what I write in my regular post. But if they are in the mood for a story, they can read it, at the bottom.

A Place For Spooky Stories, From Our Old City
The fence/house pictured above...
This is another beautiful old home,on the same street, as the above
house (That, I will tell, another day.) It has a black, iron fence in front. There is a story, that
some part of that iron fence was supposed to be warm to the touch, even
in cold weather. Dummmmmmmm-de-dum-dum.... ~~~~~~ It wasn't warm yesterday. I checked one spot anyway. If I do
research and find it is a particular (hot) spot, I'll be sure to go back and
check! Maybe on Halloween night, hu? ~~~~~~ Mmmm, maybe NOT on Halloween night.

ohhhh..i love the story about the fence! what fun to check it out on halloween!
I think that I'm going to have to do my old spooky house in the fog just for fun. I know this, if anyone had the misfortune of sitting on that fence, there'd be a hot spot for sure. Ouchie!
Your autumn wasn't as colorful as those in the past? I thought that about ours, but couldn't imagine why. Perhaps my eyes. I don't know. It seemed dimmer. Probably a case of my expectations being too high again.
Lucy is a cute kitty and when you're in the room, I imagine that she makes a beeline for you. It always seems the way. I'm sorry that you have allergies to kitties because you seem like one who'd enjoy having a cat otherwise.
your header shot of the book is my most favortie header you have ever done, i love that photo. the colors, the tips of your fingers, the shadows. love it love it. and that autumn tree is awesome. these are are super duper good today, the photos i mean, that is a lovely old house and i would love to sit on that porch. there are two wall murals here that are new and they are on busy streets and each time i pass i want to get a shot. so far have not
i loved "Hugo" ... such a great movie. great old home. love the fence. love the fall view.
say ... i'm curious as to when you are going to read me that book at the top of your post ... i'm curious. it looks super cute. i love a good read. hint. hint. ha. ha!!! (:

I am going out today to rent Hugo. Sounds delightful. I get so tired of murder and mayhem...
I love the sweet witch....the kitty is so cute
I love the old book!!
I think the fall colors in my area have been extra good this year. Wherever I look it is just so pretty.
Kitty is just to adorable and I love your photos whether recent or past, Auntie!
The story about the fence is very halloweenish and spooky...Love It!!!
Love that book...must see if I can get one :)
Hugs,
Jan
I saw the Tasha Tudor "Pumpkin Sunshine" in your header. Don't you just love her work? Our colorful leaves seem to be dropping fast today. I need to get out and get some more pics before they are gone. That is cute kitty. Isn't it funny how some animals just disappear when they see the camera and others (like my Fuzzy) ham it up. Kind of the way people are, too. That fence sounds creepy. I definitely would not be touching it on Halloween. I once saw a TV remote not just fall off of the top of someone's TV for no good reason, but it actually looked like it had thrown itself toward the young child that was on the floor near the TV. Freaked me out big time. The child and I were the only one's in the room and there were no vibrations or anything else that I can figure out that would have caused this. This didn't happen in my home and I am glad.
A picture of you touching the fence at the hot spot on Halloween night would make a great blog post :) Don't you just hate having a bunch of cars behind you when out looking for photo opps. :(
I love your header and Tasha Tudor! What a talent!!
Lucy is a pretty kitty. I love seeing the sweet little furbabies. It's too bad about your allergies because they are so much fun to have around.
The white house is magnificent. And that fence! Very interesting!
Love the header picture of you.
Cats are fun to watch sometimes. I don't want another cat but I can love on my friends cats when I visit.
BK is pretty.
