Well, my present "blog-look," may not be purrrrfect.  But I am more pleased with it.  I'm kind of "caught between a rock and a hard place."  Since I want an Autumn look/feel here.  But most of the free backgrounds I find, are tooooooooooo brighttttttttt or busssssssssy looking, to me.  But the free Background I have, though a pretty and soft color, is kind of dullllllllllllllllll looking, to me.  -grin-  

Yup, "Auntie" is never satisfied!!!  ,-))))

Plus, "Auntie" should get-a-move-on and cover that little shade, on that little mantle ambiance lamp!  "Get a move on, Auntie!!!"   There is a HOLE in it, for "Pete's Sakes"!  ~~~  Hmmmmm, where did that 'saying' come from??????   "For Pete's Sake(s)!"  It is meant to be a kind of an exasperated saying.  But, who was "Pete"??????????

A big house, again.  Viewed through a nice gate, even.  ~~~  I've really got to get this bunch of Pretty Homes Around My City pics posted, and out of my iPhoto program.  I'm forgetting which I've showed and which I have not.  I THINK these are for-the-first-time.  If not, please forgive.  ,-)

-sigh-  Betcha' I've shown this one before.......  -sigh-   It's one, which I have gone by and noticed, more than once.  Remember us going by it specifically, to take a pic.  But did I already show it?  Who knows.  :-)

And this may well be, the left side of a porch, already shown...   OH, but it does show a Balcony.  A kind of a Balcony.  And I love balconies.  That will be my *excuse* for showing it.  ,-)))

And I thank Dear Readers for saying that my pics of pretty homes in my city, are nice.  And I fully appreciate all the pretty places in my city, which one can ride around and admire and take pics of.  It's lucky, to live in this city.   BUT!!!!!!!!

Every area has interesting things!  Every town, city, outskirts, edges of town, etc. ~~~  Every one has interesting things, to notice, and appreciate, and take pictures of.  ~~~  Just because you haven't noticed any big, gorgeous mansions around your area, please don't think you have nothing to note.  ~~~  Please kind-of-open-your-eyes a bit more...   ~~~  Notice interesting things, in 'your neck of the woods'.  ~~~   And if you choose, please share pics of them, with 'Pretty Blog Land."

Hey, I used to belong to a blog, which offered connection to zillions of other blogs, which featured a 'Pic A Day' of something, in their city, town, etc.  "Daily Photos Of My City"  That kind of blog(s).  Oh sure, some were of Paris, NYC, Venice, etc.  But many were from wee, little places, here and there.  These people are not afraid to find a daily pic of "something,"  in their general vicinity.  :-)

Anyone can do it.  IF they choose to.  I know, pics of our particular area, are not what all bloggers want to publicize on the Net.  But......   It's a possibility....   Yes?   Maybe?  Perhaps?  Especially when a blogger gets in a *purple funk of I don't have anything to post about.*  -moan-moan-moan-  ,-)

Oh but yes, we all have something.  We all live somewhere.   :-)

♥ Of houses... And of tired flowers... :-)

We went out quite early the other morning, and I got a lot of pics of houses around my city.  "Uncle A." did much  work, being my driver.  The driving in one thing.  The STOPPING on COMMAND, when I see a Photo Op, is another.  -grin-  (One can not stop in the middle of the street, when traffic is coming, he tells me.  Who knew????)  -grin-

There are so many aspects, which I love, about this house.  The colors.  The lace curtains in the windows.  The fact that it has 3 small porch or balcony aspects.  3!  How precious.

It seems as if this house was being repaired, when we last went by.  What a wonderful job they do, of maintenance.  In time for High Season in town.  (I like to refer to August Racing Season, as High Season.  It just sounds kind of *posh* and *exciting.*  -gigggles-)   Why not try to add some *posh and exciting* to anything possible, say I?  ,-)  And *sparkle,* also!  Life can never have too much *sparkle*!

But pretty houses in my city, aren't all HUGE.  This one isn't all that imposing.  But it's taken care of, and the choice of hanging flowers, seems to compliment the colors of the house.  To me, it's a very welcoming house.  Ahhhhh, that porch!!!  With chairs, to sit down in, and watch the world go by.

 Flowers are getting kind-of raggggggidy-looking...  :-)  Toward the end of August.

As if they are saying;   "We had a grand and glowing time of it!  Yes we did!  But now...   -sigh-  But now...  We are getting a wee bit tired...  Would you mind awfully, if we stopped being so perky and bright, now?  And let some of our pretty petals, just kind of droop and hang?  Please....   And thank you"

♥ Monday is here, ready or not... ,-)

Yet another sign that Autumn comes...  I need to put 'M and C Hand Cream' on my hands, every time I wash them now.  This happens in fall, winter, spring.  In summer, I can get away with not applying it, after every hand washing.  ~~~   And of course, the fact of 50 degree temps in early morning, is another sign.

I'm so tired of the pool by now.  "Uncle A." can't use it any more this season.  The "Grands" are not using it, any more.  But it still needs work, which we are just not doing.  Nor or the "Grands."  I say close it down, and button-it-up for winter, NOW.  Not wait 2 more weeks, to the usual Labor Day pool closing time.  Must "press my veiws" with a bit more ........  vigor.  ,-)   -grinnnnn-

The local paper says that some house (with which "Uncle A." is familiar) was sold, after the old people who owned it, died.  Just a not-very-imposing old house, sold.  But!!!!!   We know that the old man, collected license plates for years and years and years.  The old man had "Uncle A." down in his cellar, looking at them, and looking for an old license plate, which would go with his  old 50's truck.

When I say this elderly man had a collection, I mean he had a collection!!!!   We always wonder if anyone (they had no children) knew enough to gather up those collectible license plates????   CALL  "The Pickers"!  Make money!  Such things are collectible!  But, who knows...

It would be a shame if no one every appreciated what was down in that old cellar.  And thus, if all those collectible items, end up on a dump.

I just love all the little balconies, to be found on old buildings, in my city.  :-)  Just love them.  Our first Granddaughter, whom I took care of for years, loved them too.  :-)

The start of another week.  Kids are getting ready to return to school, after Labor Day (in this area).  Summer is winding down.  The biggest race of the Season is coming up, this weekend.  After that, many of the old mansions will begin closing down, and getting "buttoned up," for the winter.  I'd better get going, if I'm going to camera-capture lots of the beautiful flower displays at summer homes, around here.  :-)
