♥ Stuff... & my thoughts on "OUaT" finale

Did you know, that when eating Gluten/Free, you must even check the Ingredients label, on candy?  Sad to say, yes.  These are little pieces of licorice, candy-covered.  But ---  After reading the label, I realized that I can't have any.  Label says flour, in product.            We have to go back to getting real Licorice, at the candy store, for me to be able to have one-piece-a-day.

Well, -sigh-  it's raining, raining, raining again, in my neck of the woods.  So I couldn't *stand* that bright Header Pic, of white clouds in a blue sky.  But neither did I want to put my (above) pic of the ambiance light on, again...  It's pretty, but also very-dark-looking.  -pout-

So I turned the Bird Bath Water Fountain on, even in the rain, and put it up, for my Header.  And since the Rainy Day Header pic didn't go with the pretty-pretty Background I had made....   I made a new Background, of grass-being-rained-on.  ,-)

Hope the all over effect is not one of too-much-the-same-on-too-much-the-same...  ,-)

I've been asked my reaction to the finale of "Once Upon A Time,"  and HELL YES, I'm getting to it.  -gigggggles-  My reaction        In a very tight nutshell  ♥    I was sad that Rumpelstiltskin still wants POWER.  Even reunited with his true love Belle.

That Regina smiled when she saw the Purple Cloud coming, was no surprise.  She is totally bad-ass.

But................

This season has led me to believe that Mr. Gold had switched to *The Good Side.*

Hehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh...

-pout-

-sigh-

-gasp-

-moan-

-gag-

I just found the greatest REVIEW of this Finale!!!!!   Must bookmark this writer, so I can follow her, during the Second Season.  Lily Sparks...  tv.com...

♥ Whooooo-hoooooooooooo!!!

 ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

Whooooo-hoooooooooooo!!!  "Once Upon A Time" was gooooood last night!  I like to see 'Snow White,' in kick-ass active mode.

Quite the episode, all round.  And now, for sure, I can see this show coming back for a 2nd Season.  Previously, I wondered....   Would it be a 1 Season wonder?  All tied up, this month?

But now!  With what will happen to 'Harry'!  Purrrrrrrrrrfect cliff-hanger episode, coming up.

Plus, this interview with the actor who plays 'Emma,' has some tantalizing words.....

While Morrison notes that the core characters and brand of storytelling will remain intact, "thematically, there is going to be such a drastic shift
that it will be a whole new adventure" in Season 2."

Personally, I look forward to a shift, somehow.  Me'thinks they went about as far as they could go, with the recurring story line of  'Mary-Margaret-&-David'-getting-close-and-breaking-up-again.  Over and over and over and over...

YOUR view, Dear Reader???  If you watch it, of course.  :-)))

♥ The writers are back-on-track...

"Once Upon A Time"

Wow...  The writers have finally been able to make us feel (kind of) sorry for The Evil Queen.  Never thought that could happen, did you?

Btw, if you stopped watching...   And would like to know HOW the writers make us sorry for the Evil Queen Regina...  You can click here and be *spoiled.*  :-)
Remember when we were getting a bit tired, of the way the story line was going???  Myself, I kept watching, and the story line has picked up.  And looks like a lot of people are still with it, according to this article.  Which says that "ABC's Once Upon a Time is Sunday's #1 Show

The sun shines this morning, and the skies are blue with puffy white clouds.  Is it a mirage????   Could this really be true?????  ,-)    We have been having so much of gray skies, dampness, and coolness, that it was becoming depressing.

But Eeeeeeeeeeeek!!!

The Full Moon will come in only a few days!

Saturday the 7th.

    Perhaps if I keep a positive outlook, it will not bring with it, the *dreaded* Full Moon Effect, this month.  Positive thoughts...   Positive thoughts...  Positive thoughts...

Please join me in these positive thoughts.  We need all the help we can get, to block the *dreaded* Full Moon Effects.  ,-)  Which, if you don't remember, are something like the effects of "Murphy's Law."...  And the old saying that bad things come in threes...
OK now...  All together...  Positive Thoughts!!!  ,-)

A cloud, and a rainbow's warning,
Suddenly sunshine and perfect blue--

♥What is it? Do you remember...???

♥  ♥  ♥

What is it???

Last summer, we watched this being built....  In the side yard of one of the big houses, on North Broadway....

See the big house, to the left of this pic?  And see the "what-ever-it-is", to the right of this pic, under tree branches?  This is all the same property.

First, I said a Folly!  Well, some kind of a Folly.  It actually resembles a castle fortification.  But for what purpose, was it built?  ♥   I know, a Folly doesn't have to have a purpose.  But I always thought of them as being more picturesque.  To me, this is hardly picturesque.  But then, I'm not the one who had it built.
Yup, only one way to find out.  Come Summer, when the owners are in residence, I need to make my way to the front door, and ask.
Another funny thing is, I have toured that very home, years ago.  My then BFF was in Real Estate and she was nutty like me, and she made-believe I was a buyer...  And we toured the ding-dang big place, by ourselves.  :-)
Those were fun days.  Friendship with Sally provided me with lots of memories.  ,-)  She's the only one I ever came across, who could bring out my as-yet-latent fun/nutty/wild ways.  ,-)  Wonder what would have transpired, if she had lived, and if we had gotten together, after I had my "Become Whom I Really Am" transition, in my 60's?  Mmmm, it's probably a good thing, that never happened.  Back then, I was a little brake on her.  Now...  No brakes on either of us.  Yikes!!!!!  -grin-
.♥. .♥. ♥. ♥. ♥.

Well, I watched the pre-Oscars Red Carpet and was very *UNDERWHELMED*.  Bring back Joan and Mellisa Rivers, if they want an interesting live Red Carpet show!   Borrrrring...  Bleahhhh...   Well, just the visuals were.  I did not turn the sound up, except to listen to Sandra Bullock's interview.
Looked at some photos of "Best-Worst Dressed," this morning.  Checked to see if...

(Source)

Rob and Kristen were in attendance.
They were not.  They just attended some pre-Oscar parties.
♥
How very refreshing!  They are one of the hottest Hollywood Couples now.  And they do not, not, not flaunt themselves, at the Oscars, etc.  Wow!  How refreshing is that?  How unheard of, is that?

But to me, it's quite nice.  :-)

.♥. .♥. ♥. ♥. ♥.

I know!  I know!  I should ask about last night's episode of "DA"!  Because lots of Dear Readers follow that.  I'm sure it was thrilling, per usual.

 (Source)

Yes, I have watched such,  in my day.  Does anyone remember
 "The Forsyte Saga"??????  The original one!

I quote:  "In early 1967 the BBC aired a 26-episode costume drama called The Forsyte Saga. On Sunday nights, when the Saga was on, social life stopped. Dinner parties were scheduled around it, and vespers at some churches was moved to allow churchgoers to watch. When the show was aired in the US on PBS, it was just as much of a success. The public's appetite for more costume drama inspired Masterpiece Theater. It was nothing more than high-class soap, but it was well-acted high-class soap."

So see?  You who have been enjoying Masterpiece Theater, for years  ---  It was my (and lots of others) watching of The Forsyte Saga, way back in the '60's'...  Which produced Masterpiece Theater.  :-)

You may leave your impressed thanks, in comments.

♥Book and... Precious illustrations

  ♥      ♥     ♥
.

"Allen's books are magical, comforting fiction; a sweet indulgence."  That's a quote, about the books of Sarah Addison Allen.  And I so agree!  Finished "The Peach Keeper" last night.  Just love this author's writing.

Also love these illustrations!  The work of Marguerite Davis.

Marguerite...  Have not heard that name used, in many-a-day.  Where I grew up, a next door neighbor's name was Marguerite.  To me, it has a Spanish and exotic sound to it.  :-)  It also makes me think of honey...

Honey...  Because when I was a little girl, sometimes I went next door to visit with Marguerite.  In her kitchen, she had a kind of a peg board...  Made all of wood.  On it were painted a list of commonly purchased groceries.  If the housekeeper needed to remember to buy flour, next trip to the store, she put a little red peg in the little hole, in front of the word "flour."  Same for "butter," "salt," etc.

I adored that List Board with Little Red Pegs.  When I visited, I'd play with it....  I'd make believe I needed food items and put Red Pegs, in the little holes.  One day, while playing peacefully with the Board, for some reason, I picked up a container, next to it...  Was I having a glass of juice, perhaps?  Thought I was picking up the juice, for a sip, but without looking?  Don't remember *the why* but.......  The unthinkable happened!  Eeeeek!  I had picked up a container of HONEY and it went alllllll over!  Me and.....................

I was so shocked and embarrassed, that I simply ran home crying, 'cause I was just a little girl, .   Oh it was an awful experience!!!!!  For a child,  too young to yet be accustomed to making embarrassing mistakes.   BUT, I never forgot it!!!  ,-)

-chuckle-  Do you Dear Reader, have one of those awful-and-embarrassing-childhood-moments, in your memory bank?  :-)))))))))))))))

Wow, you have to wait a while, when 'grabbing' pics from the Net.  Previously, I put a pretty illustration by M. Davis, in this post.  With a click-able link to where I got it, of course.  Later, the illustration no longer showed up.  An add for the page (maybe) showed in its place.  -chuckle-  Interesting...

I'd better wait a while, to see if the one above, *turns into* something else.  -grin-

♥      ♥     ♥

Tonight is a new "Once Upon A Time" again.  Wonder how long this first part of this show, will run?  Not sure how many episodes are shot ahead of time, these days.  Think a Season used to consist of around 20-22 episodes.  But that was back in the old days...

♥      ♥     ♥

"BJ"...  Can you see these little Red Hearts, above?
Or do they too, just show as little red boxes?

Childhood was magical.
Leaving it behind was a magnificent loss."

Guess I just HAVE to post something this morning,
to be able to show these delightful illustrations I found.
Guess they are mostly from the 1930's.
 ♡.♡.

Oh my gracious, aren't they delightful???
I love these kinds of kind-of-stylized drawings.
Is that what you would call them??????
♡.♡.

Let's see......   Last night I read more in "A Discovery of Witches."
.♡.
And watched "Once Upon A Time."
Hmmmmm, interesting...  How the writers are weaving their own tales,
around happenings in Faerie Tales.  Interesting....
.♡.
Or....  Don't you like the *new take* on old Faerie Tales?
Does it rankle you,
to see them kind-of-messin' with the old stuff?
.♡.
I don't mind.
.♡.
But I think maybe, some do.
.♡.
Which is fine!  We can each critique a show, just as we see it.
And as we wish it would play out.

And this morning (Mon.) already, I've been to see *The Vampires.*  -gigggles-
My loving way of referring to the wonnnnnnnnnnderful people in the Hospital Lab,
who draw blood.  They do it all the time and they are fantastic, at their work!!!!
And I always praise them for it, every time I have to have fasting blood drawn.
Why not?
.♡.
Don't we all like to hear that we do A Good Job?!?!?  :-)
♡.♡.

I know this sweet pic (from the Graphics Fairy) won't fit neatly,
as my Header pic.  But I love the look of it.
So I think I'll use it as a Header Pic, anyway!!!
:-)))))))))))))))

Pic found in a 'Victoria' magazine book - "The Heart of England")

My Background...  I find a picture of a fabric swatch, in whatever pattern I'm looking for.  Using New Editor, I go to 'Background' and make this pic, my Background.  That's a very basic telling, of how I do it.  More specifics available, if someone wants to try it.  :-)

It was possibly to be freezing temps and rain this morning.  Thankfully, these have not materialized.  Rain maybe, but no freezing.

Yesterday was a big football day, in the NE, if one is into football.  I'm not as into it, as the male members of our extended family.  But I still had my favorites.  And they came out on top!.  The so-called Super Bowl will be the NY Giants (ELI) against the NE Patriots.  Yesssssssssss...  :-)

(Source)

But I watched "Once Upon A Time"  last night!  Not football.  :-)
.♥.
A real kiss!  Yes!  They know they are meant for each other.
This tip-toeing around the facts, was getting old.
Mmmmmmmmm...  I hope the actress who plays "Katherine," has another job lined up.
I see her demise, coming......  Don't you?   -chuckle-

♡Monday this and Monday that... :-)

It's COLD up here in the Northern Hemisphere, where I live.   So perhaps I want to kinda' generate-some-heat, by asking Questions.   ,-)

Question:
What do you LIKE to read about, in Dear Reader's posts?
Oh yes, I know.  We can post exactly what we WANT to.
But I'm asking YOU Dear Reader...
What do you like to find in posts????

Myself...
I love to get glimpses into the Dear Blogger's Life.
And thus, get to know her better.
Same as I feel I give glimpses into my life...  For my Dear Readers.

If you watch "Once Upon A Time,"  did you watch it last night?
SPOILER:
.
.
.
.
.
.

Not much going on in last night's episode, in my view.  Makes you long for "Mr. Gold" to be the focus of an episode again, doesn't it?  ,-)    ~~~~~~    Oh and, TWINS?!?  If the story line was going to be, that they were twins...    Couldn't they have gotten 2 actors, who looked more the same age?

Before "OUaT" came on,  our Dear Giants won their game!  Yeaaaaaaa!!!  Even with *Excrumentum* like this, happening.  WHAT was going on????????????????  Gives a bad name to the game.  Ughhhhhhhhh...

Today/Monday is a Holiday.  What's your *plan of action*?  Stay home?  Or go out in the crowd?  :-)  Myself...   I plan on baking.  A quick Bread, which "Uncle A." loves to have in the morning, with his cup of coffee.  :-)

♡So far... So good... :-)))))

We got a new (orange) cable, he attached it,  to the back of the computer *works.*

And the other end, to the back of my surge protector.
 And everything seems *fixed.*
-clapping hands-
Of course, like my friend said; "Don't crow yet...The Full Wolf Moon is still tonight."
But I am holding-good-thoughts!!!  :-))))))))))))

 (Link)

Are you Dear Reader, *itching* to decorate your blog, for Valentine's Day?  :-)
So far, I'm not really *itching* to.  I'm still loving my homey, cozy, warm, old fashioned 'blog look' of red and white plaid fabric, for my Background.  :-)  But I'm thinking about a Valentine blog look...  Getting ideas...  Which is part of the fun of blog-look-changing!

DID you watch the NEW episode of "Once Upon A Time"  last night?!?!?!
Oh I hope so!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ohhhhhhhhhhhhh that "Mr. Gold"!!!  :-))))

(Link)
And btw, if you don't mind being *spoiled* (if you are not up-to-date with watching, that is), you can find discussion about the show, by going to my pic links.  :-)
"Come sit by me, Dearie"
and we'll talk about the show...  ,-)

 (Link)

(I couldn't find free MOON clip art so.....)
(I decided that these little girls are looking up at the Full Moon.  -grin-)

Hope you enjoy the Full Wolf Moon of tonight!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  It's been being lovely,
on Sat. and Sun. nights.  Took pics.  Which won't show-up properly, though.
-sigh-  Oh well, everything else is working, so far.
So I'll not waste too many sighs, on my photo issues.
:-)
More wishful thinking, with my quote, below though...

"The early mist had vanished and the fields lay like a silver shield...
It was one of the days when the glitter of winter shines..."

SPOILER ALERT for "Once Upon A Time" :-)

REPEAT
SPOILER ALERT
For "ONCE UPON A TIME" TV program
-

-
-
-
-
OK, you have been *warned*.  :-)))
~~~~~
Oh my goodness gracious, did you see "OUAT" last night?  (Sun. 12/11)
-Did you know that one of the characters was going to be eliminated????   Yes
-Did you guess who?  Yes & No  (I considered the Sheriff,  but really wanted it to be Karen, King Midas' snooty daughter and wife of Charming, in real time.)
-Were you sad???????????????   Yes and No   ,-)  (The Sheriff actor reminds me of Ashton Coucher, before he shaved  his face.  LOL.   And this actor looks tooooo slight, to be the love-interest of Regina or Emma.  Both those gals look like they could chew-up-and-spit-out, the guy playing the Sheriff.  To me.  How about to you?????)
-Do you like the introduction of *killing-off-a-character*, to this show?  NO!  (This is done toooooo much on today's tv, I feel.  Blink and eye, and another character on "Vampire Diaries" gets *the ax.*  -pout-)
-Good point of this plot turn???  ~~  To me...  Emma will now be Sheriff, and that will pit Good-Emma directly against Bad-Regina.  No dancing around this fact, any more Emma.  Previously, Emma has stayed kind-of-on-the-edge of the Battle.  But NOW, Emma is right in the middle of it.
-OR, will Mayor Regina try to fire Emma, as Sheriff?   Yes
-Will Regina succeed in firing Emma as Sheriff?  No, *somehow*  -grin-
-Sooooooooooooooooo ~~~  What do you think happens next???
-Do you look at "OUAT" links on the Net?
If you do a Google Search on "Once Upon A Time" TV Show"
you will find LOTS of places to visit and to watch the back shows and etc.
"An apple a day, keeps the doctor away"  -grin-
